The historic house, gardens and parkland at Lanhydrock make for a great day out. If you enjoy adventures on two wheels there is also a network of cycling trails.

Hosts Tim and Laura were lovely. Lots of thought has gone into this cottage. Great use of space and they have maximised the space to get all the essentials in. Nice to have a ‘pet welcome’ for our little dog. Particularly enjoyed the homemade cookies supplied (and recipe). The cottage was very quiet. There are other rentals within the courtyard but the layout is such that other guests don’t intrude. The WiFi is hit and miss (tend to get that in deepest Cornwall) but worth knowing if you need to work from the cottage. It wasn’t a problem for us and was adequate for our needs. Loved our stay and recommend this cottage ...

Really great location if you're looking for rural peace and quiet, lovely walk down by green fields with sheep and donkeys leading to a little forest which the dog loved, hosts were so welcoming but left us to it unless we needed them, couldn't have asked for anything more, we even saw shooting stars of the perseid meteor showers which was the truly magical icing on a perfect week...
