Sitting at the top of its own private orchard, there are 200 acres of ancient unspoilt woodland to explore just a stroll away down a green track.
The owners' chickens live at the bottom of the orchard. Please note from the 1st September these will be moved into a neighbouring field.
The owners also have some sheep, who live in a nearby paddock.

The shepherds hut was spacious and bright, there were flowers and it was so well decorated and furnished. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and even though we were staying in a hut we could cook quite happily. And very importantly the bed was very comfy. The hosts were so friendly and kind but also respected our privacy. The treats when we arrived were lovely and everything looked so welcoming and fresh. We will definitely be coming back….we loved every minute...

This is a fantastic shepherds hut. A great view of garden, complete with wild birds and chickens! We had everything that we needed, plus Nikki and Spence were great hosts.

Horseshoe S L’ what can we say. Right from our arrival we knew we were in for a real treat. The owners had left us welcome treats, bubbly and flowers. Fresh eggs from the chickens made a wonderful addition to breakfast. The hut was beautifully presented and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Under the stars in the hot tub sooo gooood! Horseshoe Shepherd's Lodge is a beautiful, tranquil and wonderfully equipped place to stay. As a solo traveller, it offered the perfect space to sit with nature, reflect and contemplate, whilst also being close to local amenities, the Mole Resort and the Exeter Inn, if that takes your fancy. Things that made the difference: - home baked goodies on arrival, and a bottle of fizz :) - big cups, a tea pot and quality utensils - the comfiest bed - a hot and powerful shower - a ready-to-go log burner and easy to use hot tub - privacy, peaceful surroundings and wonderfully friendly hosts.
