Had another enjoyable weeks stay at Millstone cottage, always nice to have a welcome tray on arrival, and meeting the owner. Clean and well presented and everything catered for, it feels remote but although it isn’t, is just what we like. A lovely garden too , and heard Owls at night time, which was great. We had a good time visiting old haunts and even finding some new places to visit. On the odd foggy mornings which just skirted the coast, we could hear the Lizard Lighthouse fog horn in the distance..very atmospheric! Which made my week!!
Mr Fischer May 2022
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little cottage with its lovely garden. The location is perfect for coastal hikes. Indeed it has exceeded our expectations!
Mr Brooke April 2022
Lovely cottage and garden, in a peaceful location, but also just a short stroll from the coastal path. Lots to do and see nearby, or just kick back and relax. Lovely owners and welcoming cream tea always goes down well.
Miss French January 2022
It was a lovely cottage and really clean. In a fantastic spot feels very calm and off the beaten track but in fact is close to facilities if needed. Met the owner who was very friendly. Garden was lovely too. Perfect for my needs. Highly recommend.

Miss Burton November 2021
Such a beautiful cottage! The property was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our week away of walking and relaxing. We would 100% recommend to friends / family and return if we were to come back to Cornwall.
Mrs Lalley October 2021
Wonderful place to stay. Cosy and welcoming place.
Ms Peel September 2021
The cottage is absolutely delightful and well placed for the South West Coastal Path. The location is lovely - deepest Cornwall and the village is small enough to be slightly off the beaten tourist track. Tall people will need to watch out for the beams, but it was a joy and a privilege to stay in such a wonderful historic building, beautifully presented, with a good log-burner as well as good central heating. The kitchen was well equipped and the kitchen knives were sharp (the blunt kitchen knife is always a bugbear in holiday cottage kitchens). There is good wifi - a bit of a must in the modern world. Highly recommended. Younger children will especially adore the small bedroom, which has been thoughtfully fitted out with them in mind, as well as the 'Snow White's cottage' appearance of the building.
Miss Gordon August 2021
Beautiful cottage within easy access of beaches
Mr Lillyman June 2021
God walks from cottage on coast patch for food, drink and pleasure means you can leave transport behind for a few days.
Mrs Gribble May 2021
Quaint cottage in a beautiful location, lots of character and was clean also. A lovely relaxing break, visiting the places we know well and love especially the little cove near to Millstone Cottage. The biscuits and tea on arrival was a nice touch. Thank you. Plenty of room to park which is always good.
Mr Scattergood May 2021
nice location and near to coastal walks
Mrs Talbot May 2021
A very beautiful cottage, we enjoyed pretending it was ours, at least for the week, when people stopped to admire it :D There is so much we enjoyed about our weeks stay, the quietness, the garden, but most of all the walks from the doorstep, the coast path is a very short walk away. Evening walks down to the little cove are something we miss now home. The cottage inside is small but very comfortable although we do feel some heating would be beneficial upstairs for colder months.

We're delighted that you enjoyed your break at this very special property. Thanks for your suggestion of providing upstairs heating - we'll pass this thought on to the owners for them to keep in mind for when they plan any future modificatioons. Hopefully we can welcome you back soon so you wont have to miss those walks down to the cove for too long. Tressa, Customer Support

A beautiful romantic escape, with close proximity to explore south and southwest Cornwall.

What a beautiful cottage. Loved the decor and the quality of the bedding, kitchen equipment and the bathroom. The location of the cottage is stunning with surrounding woodland and a short walk to the sea. If you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday this is the place to be. Thank you so much for efforts regarding the beautiful cottage and the cleanliness. We will definitely be back.

Ms Sitch December 2019
We really enjoyed our stay at Millstone cottage. It is perfectly located for the coastal path. Our hosts were helpful and welcoming. The presentation of the cottage is at a high standard.
The local shop in Ruan Minor is unusually well-stocked. My partner enjoyed the farm lamb from a small farm shop in Lizard. Everyone we met were very friendly and helpful.
Mr Kurn September 2019
We were met at the door by the owner who was still in the process of preparing the cottage for our stay. Although we were a little early she was more than happy for us to start bringing in our cases etc and made us feel very welcome. She returned a little later with milk and biscuits, gave us some useful information and left us to it. She also recommended the Cadgewith Cove Inn so we walked over the cliffs and ate here. Superb but the walk back with very full tummies was a little harder. We both decided it was worth it and did it again. Thank you for a lovely time in your wonderful cottage and I have a feeling we will return.
Mrs Mills September 2019
It’s a lovely cottage in a very peaceful setting if you are like us and like to walk stop in pub on way back to the cottage to cook dinner.
Mrs Kinning August 2019
Millstone cottage was charming & very comfortable. Loved the shower too! The location was beautiful & it was so peaceful to relax in the garden with only the birds to listen to. Lovely walk down to the nearby cove.
Mr Connelly August 2019
Very quiet location, close to the cove and coast footpath. Cottage was very clean and comfortable, everything you needed was thought of. Only 15 minutes walk to the local pub for great food, drink and music! Lovely!
Mrs Whittingham August 2019
A picture postcard cottage, in a excellent location. The cottage was well equipped, nicely furnished and very cosy. The garden also very lovely and a perfect setting to unwind and relax.
Mr Gienapp July 2019
What a gorgeous house and place! The owners are very kind and helpful, house and garden are so beautiful and the location is more than fantastic. It's just a 5-minutes-walk to the sea and to the Coast Path which leads you to Cadgwith or Kennack Sands and further on. And with the car you are within an hour or less at St. Michaels's Mount, Lizard Point and Kynance Cove, the Helford River or Botallack Mine and Land's End. Or you can go to Roskilly's Farm and have a wonderful ice-cream.
Mr Potter July 2019
An absolutely superb cottage that cannot be faulted. Kitted our with real quality and style and everything you’d expect from an old country cottage with a modern twist. The owners were very thoughtful but not in anyway intrusive. With great walks from the door and in a stunning part of the Cornish coastline - we had a fantastic week. We would 100% recommend and would definitely revisit.
Miss Moultire May 2019
This is a super little cottage our stay was wonderful, small quiet in a lovely location.
Only a note not a negative but something to bear in mind, the entrance to the cottage is tight, narrow lane on a hill not leaving much room for turning into or onto the drive, just something to beware off really.

Thank you so much for your review, and we're delighted to see that you enjoyed your stay. The cottage is beautifully secluded and tucked away down a little Cornish country lane, so is a little narrow in places but rarely sees much traffic, so you can happily take your time when parking. Mr Rigby May 2019
Very hard to find the charm of a typical country cottage such as this. To top it all the location is great. A short walk to the local pebble beach and the surrounding countryside makes a truly peaceful break. The cottage inside is suitable for 2-3 persons and works well. Being quaint, head height in a couple of places soon reminds you to be careful but this is expected being 6 foot tall. Private gardens surrounding the cottage gave us the joy of seeing wonderful birds and you felt one is back to nature. The owners have spent considerable time and money in restoring the gardens with marvellous plants and landscaping of paths and walls. The cottage has everything one needs and very clean throughout, with the modern bathrooms a joy with its “ rainfall” shower. We are so grateful to have found this property and again “ Classic Cottages” have made an excellent addition to their portfolio.
Mrs Bowman May 2019
The cutest cottage. This is a very pretty cottage in an equally pretty location. It has quick and easy access to the coast path and all points of interest on the Lizard peninsula. Although small, it doesn't feel cramped. The friendly and helpful owner has made good use of the space to provide storage, and equipped it to Classic Cottages' usual high standards.
