Immaculate large cottage in beautiful Lerryn. Plenty of walks straight out the front of the property. A great location for exploring Cornwall.

Lovely cottage, very well equiped, wonderful location. Close to many walks. We will certainly come again

We had a wonderful stay in Tanglewood. The garden around the cottage and views across the river were lovely. It was a pretty walk to the shop and pub in Lerryn, especially when the tide was low as you could use the stepping stones to cross the river into the village. The cottage was very well equipped with comfy beds. It was very peaceful and lovely to go back to after a day out exploring.

Tanglewood is a beautifully presented archetypal Cornish cottage occupying a delightful situation overlooking the quaint village of Lerryn. I would definitely recommend staying here although only one double bed, no en suite and no facilities to hang clothes in the main bedroom might be a drawback for some.

A wonderful, quiet cottage with a great view on the river and it’s life. Watching the tides rise and fall was very relaxing. Village shop very good and just a short hop across stones at low tide. Village pub ok with friendly staff. Fowey cider and gin distillery in lostwithiel worth a visit - book early for gin masterclass.

would recommend a stay at tanglewood

A beautiful peaceful place, perfectly situated for enjoying the Fowey estuary, its wildlife and history, and within easy reach of Lostwithiel, Bodmin, the moors, the north coast and the Eden Project too.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We had a very comfortable stay here and enjoyed exploring the local towns and beaches.

This was our 2nd visit to this lovely cottage. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The area is stunning. Beautiful walks . Pretty towns, villages and coastline with little hidden coves. As well as lots of walks we visited Fowey (good restaurants), Polruan, Lostwithiel,Lanhydrock, the Duchy Nursery etc . There is lots to do, but also if you just want to relax and do nothing it’s the perfect spot for listening to the birds in the garden and watching folks messing about on the river.

Stunning location by the creek and a charming village with good facilities The cottage and garden were beautifully maintained and well equipped including comfortable garden furniture.

This is a fantastic cottage in a great, peaceful location. The cottage has lovely views over the estuary and we enjoyed watching the canoes paddle past and the tide ebb and flow. There are a number of easy walks from the front door. At night it is so quiet we felt that should be whispering so as to not break the silence! We have stayed in many classic cottages, but this is my favourite. Well equipped, comfy beds and a large garden to sit out and appreciate the views. Easy drive to Fowey, Looe and St. Austell (for the footgolf!) Highly recommend a stay at Tanglewood!

Fabulous cottage wonderful location .

We throughly enjoyed our stay, even with young children the cottage had plenty of room. We loved the village and the drives through very narrow lanes. The views from the cottage were a delightful. Even using the range was very simple and we cooked most days. We had three cars with us and we parked two in the village carpark which was a couple of minutes by stepping stones and a few more by road.

If this house is available, book it straight away! We absolutely loved the house, gardens and location. Being a wetter summer, and I broke my ankle the day before arriving, meant that we were at the house more than we would normally plan to, but it was such a beautiful place to hang out. The beds are so comfortable that we are now buying the same mattress for our bed. Bed linen is such lovely high quality. We would definitely give the property a big 5* rating - just perfect! Lerryn is a wonderful active village, but still quiet. The village stores was delightful too and meant that we rarely needed to go further to buy food. Loved being next to the river - would recommend bringing kayaks! Fowey is across the river - a fun trip across the ferry - and even in the height of summer, was never too busy. We rented a boat for the day and kayaks for half a day. Loved Lantic Bay, the walk down to Lansallos Beach - stunning cove. Polpero was busier but very pretty and worth a visit. We also drove over to St Ives and went straight to Gwithian Bay. Absolutely stunning and so big it didn't feel crowded. Recommend parking by Sandy Acres Beach Cafe - quiet location and you can hire wetsuits and boards there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tanglewood - a picture perfect cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was clean and very comfortable.

On our arrival we were concerned by the state of cleanliness of the property. We contacted the housekeeper to discuss this and she came as soon as possible and did a full clean., which we were happy with. We also pointed out that the heating in the utility room and shower room wasn't working and she contacted the owner regarding this - this was sorted within a few days

After discussion with Classic Cottages and the owners all issues have been resolved to our satisfaction,

Tanglewood is a beautiful house in a fantastic location and we believe that the cleaning problem was a one-off and we were just unfortunate. It wouldn't put us off retuning.

The utterly peaceful location, proximity to the great pub and shop (special mention for the apricot and panna cotta ice-cream!), gorgeous gardens and breath-taking views from every window, beautiful house, easy to use wood-burner, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and great shower, fabulous walks and the endless entertainment drawn from the river and it's boats, kayaks and paddle-boarders. All in all, top notch as a holiday destination.

A beautiful property in an idyllic location. Would love to return

Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful location with views across the creek to the village on the other side which you can access via stepping stones at low tide - the children loved this! Comfortable beds with quality linen. Kitchen well equipped. Pretty garden with various sitting areas to take advantage of the sun. Cooking with a Rayburn can be a bit of a challenge and needs planning. There is only enough room to park one car by the cottage, but parking across creek is free. The village has a pub (bit expensive ), shop and coffee/ice cream stall where you can buy refreshments and sit on the picnic tables by the creek. A lovely area especially for walking. We walked down the creek on both sides to lovely little hamlets . Beautiful views. We also walked near Golitha Falls - another stunning location. We enjoyed it so much we’ve booked for next year!

Tanglewood is a beautiful setting and so quiet - the perfect place to relax.

If you get a chance to stay at this riverside location, in picturesque tranquil Cornish countryside, then grab it. This high quality well equipped cottage is a place to spend a relaxing and memorable time away - we only wish we had stayed longer!

Beautifully kept cottage, extremely well equipped and so very comfortable. Set in a lovely peaceful location overlooking the river. Thank you for the Cornish cream tea, milk and the Cornish ginger fairings left for us on our arrival ... we've got a taste for these biscuits now! You have made your cottage so welcoming we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Could not fault cottage, well equipped and comfortable and in a beautiful location. Cream tea was a welcome touch on arrival.

Lovely cottage in a quiet and peaceful location. Everything you could want was provided, lovely bed linen and furnishings. Great outdoor space to relax. Lerryn nice to grab a nice cream and sit the river. Lovely touch of having a Cornish cream tea provided for our arrival (milk) for the tea as well, Thank you.

It was great that we were able to arrive at the property at any time as we ended up not getting there till about midnight which was no problem as we had a key safe outside the house...The house is very tastfully decorated, has everything one could possibly need and was spotless..Great views of the tidal river..Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The best cottage we have had so far. There were four of us, and with five it would have been comfortable enough. Everything we required was provided, includung the wood burning fire (in June!). Super garden with splendid views along the river, and so quiet.

Th most stunning cottage in a truly magical location. All you could hear was the sound of nature. We stepped back in time. A perfect stillness where you can hear the silence. Thank you.

I can't recommend Tanglewood in Lerryn highly enough! The location is absolutely stunning and the cottage delightful and so beautifully furnished. We couldn't fault a thing, and were very reluctant to leave. We Will be returning.

Claire and Bob. So worth the long drive from Cambridgeshire

If Tanglewood appears on your page while searching for a holiday let look no further, it's a fabulous house with everything you will need. We took loads of daily supplies but never used any of them as everything supplied.
