The Old Stables is an absolute gem of a find - It has the WOW factor from the moment you arrive. The owners have thought of everything from excellent quality and comfortable furniture, tasteful decor and a well equipped kitchen. There is a lovely private garden and the views from the property are just stunning. The owners are very helpful and are happy to give advice on places to visit - they have even left walk route maps at the property so you don't even need to move your car as there are lots of walks from the doorstep. The Old Stables is a very high quality, contemporary comfortable and well equipped stylish conversion in beautiful grounds surrounded by rolling south Devon countryside with views to Dartmoor. The hosts Andrew and Jan are friendly, helpful yet unobtrusive and once they knew we like bird watching provided ideas of local places we might be interested in. We were fortunate with the spring sunshine enjoying exploring the south Hams and Dartmoor as well as relaxing in the lovely gardens and the cottage. Highly recommend if you don’t mind driving the narrow steep banked lanes which are part of this areas charm especially in spring when the wild flowers are abundant....

We loved The Old Stables and intend to return. It’s the most idyllic location. So quiet and the owners are on hand should you need them. The bed was super cosy and we slept so well. The kitchen was so well equipped you didn’t need to go out . Fabulous area to explore but always lovely to get back at night and sit in the beautiful garden . Just wonderful ...
