The Lymington to Yarmouth ferry takes approximately half an hour.
Steeple Cove with a quaint beach and selection of cafes can be reached by a steep path or the coastal walkway from Ventnor.
Just a short distance by car from Yarmouth is the iconic Needles. Well worth a visit for the view.
Take a stroll down to St Catherine's lighthouse on the southern tip of the island.

It was an excellent stay for us and very comfortable too. Away from the crowd and very calm and quite location . Beach walk is not very far. Surroundings are very scenic and shops are close by. We had a wonderful stay at the house of logs. It had everything we needed to feel completely at home, so much so it was hard to leave. The location was amazing, especially being able to take morning runs/walks along the beach.

We had a fantastic time at the House of Logs. It was very well equipped, clean, in an excellent location, and the layout was perfect for several generations to share! We really enjoyed walking out to Alum Bay, The Needles, and Tennison Down straight from the house, and also enjoyed all the beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend....

The House of Logs has everything the perfect location with stunning views all around this beautiful island. The red squirrels came out to surprise us too! Plenty of relaxing walks & fabulous restaurants which all were top class on the doorstep which was an added bonus! The House was well equipped & very comfortable with recliner garden chairs added in too. I would say it was the House that kept giving & is perfect for family/friends get together all year round. If you want to stay in something different, this is the place, you won't find anything more alpine than this. It is cosy, has ample room to sleep 8 (even if they are all adults). We had a great week, only one rainy day, but plenty to play with, read, watch, Bagatelle was used every day. The garden is full of wildlife, red squirrels, various birds (sparrowhawk), and food is provided. Great location for walking, Needles, Alum Bay, Yarmouth, Freshwater Bay to name a few, the views are spectacular. There are a variety of pubs in the area as well, the Vine in Freshwater was spot on in every way. We hope to stay again....
