Exceptionally nice property, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. Probably the best equiped holiday home we have ever booked. The welcome package was very nice and the endless supply of coffee for the machine was an added bonus.

This house is a gem . It is perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and Headon Warren. The outdoor south facing balcony is just wonderful, overlooking a great garden for toddlers to play in. Inside the house it is spacious, full of character and has everything you could need. It was spotlessly clean and we cannot wait to return. We only wish we could have stayed longer! ...

This was a return visit to The House of Logs for us. This beautiful house was spotless on arrival and we were extremely comfortable for the duration of our stay as it is very well appointed in every respect. Communication with the owner was excellent and we would not hesitate to recommend this unique property to large groups of family or friends. We do hope to return again....

We had a lovely week at the House of Logs for our party of 6 adults/1 toddler and a baby. It is situated in a very quiet location with great views over the Solent just over the road. We used it as a base to explore the IoW. Freshwater, Colwell Bay, Yarmouth and the Needles are all nearby. Although most of the attractions we visited seemed to be more towards the centre and the eastern side of the island it was always a pleasant experience travelling to and from, most often via the Military Road. Would definitely go back again ??...

House of Logs is great for a multigenerational holiday. There were three generations of us from 1 year old to 60! Us grandparents had the downstairs suite which comprised of a king sized bedroom with direct access to the garden, a shower room and separate toilet. However, the access to these rooms are down a very steep, narrow staircase with a low ceiling which says “ouch” which you have to duck under. This would be very difficult for anybody with limited mobility to manage and should be highlighted in the property description. The upstairs is spacious and well laid out. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well equipped with lovely views across the tree tops. It felt like being in a tree house! Everywhere was very safe for a toddler with gates and doors at all points where there were stairs. The showers were powerful and there was plenty of hot water for everyone. The location (a 10 minute steep walk or 15 minute gentle walk to the beach) was perfect and the beach was sandy and gently shelving with plenty of activity on the water to watch. It was never busy even in the perfect warm, sunny weather we had for our stay. It has easy access to the coast path and a long, pushchair friendly promenade to Colwell Bay which has a buzzing seaside atmosphere. ...
