Had another lovely stay at the old forge our grandaughter loved playing darts with us in the games room and hide and seek with grandad in the cottage Its very cosy with all the comforts of home would highly recommend ??

Spacious property with 3 great bathrooms and especially loved the heated floor in the master bathroom. You can feel the history of the place with its quirky shaped rooms and uneven floors. We really loved the story of how the current owners renovated all the buildings and such a gorgeous view from the lounge and back bedroom out onto the river. The kitchen is fully equipped if you wanted to cook, lounge was cosy and warm and had all the wood & kindling to make a fire is you wanted. We didn’t use the mezzanine bedroom but this was a great use of space or if you had a teenager who wanted their own area. The town of South Brent is a 10 min walk away and there is a lovely river walk you can take which brings you out at St Petroc’s church. Also we were able to use and pay for the electric car charger on site which was a great addition....

A comfortable cottage in a perfect peaceful location, with riverside walks from the doorstep. Also well located for driving to Dartmoor locations or the coast. Friendly owners and an interesting back-story to read about the property. Some welcome supplies were provided on arrival, including a lovely cake. Nice and cool inside in a heatwave! The games room with darts and table football was fun. Lovely short walk by the river to South Brent village, with a well stocked Co-Op and it's own island. We had a very relaxing stay and would return. ...
