Stunning property in a lovely quiet location. Everything was excellent and will stay again in the future
Mrs Packford August 2025
We absolutely loved our stay at Daybreak Cottage in August 2025! It is by far the best cottage we have stayed in so far in Cornwall. The owner provided a lovely warm welcome with a delicious and beautifully made Victoria sponge and very kind welcome note, and as soon as we crossed the threshold, we were delighted with our choice. In a gorgeous setting, well-appointed and spotless, the cottage met all our needs. There was more than enough garden space outside for our little dog to walk around, and helpfully a large enough foyer area to take off and store any muddy shoes. We didn't want to leave!! One comment we would make is that the bed in the main bedroom was a bit too small for two adults. We knew the room had a double, but we had to swap bedrooms with our teenage son partway through the holiday to put the two single beds together to have enough room to get a good night's sleep. We are both slim adults, I am 5'4" and my husband 6', and we felt cramped. The adjoining bathroom is wonderful but a larger queen bed would have been better perhaps. The other bathroom is very small, and it was tricky to use the tiny sink and clean our teeth there. It might be better suited to younger children. Our son would use the larger bathroom to get ready. Despite that, I would still strongly recommend this cottage. We didn't want to leave!! We can also recommend Peckish, the fish and chip shop in nearby Camelford which was superb! Thank you for a lovely stay!...

A beautiful property with a pretty garden and patio area, and completely private. The decor and furnishings were top notch, with everything you could possibly need. The location was very good with many pubs and restaurants within easy reach. The proximity of both north or south Cornwall meant you could visit many beaches and towns. Padstow only a 25 minute drive away. The owners respect your privacy but encourage you to contact them should you require anything. A most enjoyable week, with some very hot weather....

In terms of design, layout, furnishings, natural light, space and immediate surroundings, Daybreak is probably the finest holiday cottage in which I've ever stayed (and I'm 54!). It's stunning - and to stay there for a few days is a very special treat indeed. Just remember to bring your own shower gel, shampoo etc! It's ideally located for exploring North Cornwall, coast or moor. Recommend the Old Inn in St Breward, a friendly, traditional pub with a wide choice of no-fuss food - big portions and excellent value for money. ...

The cottage was very well equipped and very comfortable, we particularly enjoyed the conservatory and relaxing in deckchairs on the sunny patio. The welcome cake was lovely!
