A really lovely cottage in a tiny, peaceful village and equipped with everything guests could possibly need. As to be expected in a very old property, there are several levels with steps and low doorways. Great enclosed garden. Altogether it was just like staying in someone’s home rather than a rental property.
We would definitely return.

Also for the local restaurants reviews, we would highly recommend the St. Kew Farm Shop. We had a great breakfast there.

Perfect cottage for a trip with friends - has everything we could have needed in a perfect location to explore the North Coast. Lovely Garden and patio for a BBQ at sunset.

Wonderful cottage in a great location in Cornwall. Super comfortable and felt like a real home. Very well equipped. Great outdoor sitting area as well as inside. Well thought out and useful guide to food and activities for people staying. Would definitely highly recommend

A fantastic cottage - more a home from home. Beautifully furnished and equipped - enjoyed our second visit as much as the first !

There aren't enough superlatives to describe Kear Cottage. It's a gem of a place, from the high quality furnishings and furniture, through the beautifully equipped kitchen and the original art which adorns every room. It has the feel of a boutique hotel with the convenience of a cottage. What's not to love?

Kear Cottage is a delightful property. Beautifully furnished, amazing art work and a lovely garden makes this the most perfect home from home. Kind touches from the owners ensure you have the best time at this gorgeous house. For foodies, ideally located for lots of Cornwall's best restaurants. Oh and the beaches...

Amazing property, absolutely everything you could possibly need, and so beautifully furnished.

Beautiful cottage in a convenient and quiet rural location, with lovely garden.

Fantastic property - beautifully decorated, furnished and presented. Can't wait to visit again !

Comfortable cottage with a lovely garden very peaceful. Within easy access of many places of interest. Good pubs and restaurants nearby.

A cosy and luxurious cottage in a peaceful location. Very easy access to all that this part of Cornwall has to offer - the Camel trail, incredible beaches and Bodmin for walking.

Beautifully furnished cottage. Extremely well equipped. Quiet location with lovely views all around. Visited depth of winter but used log burner. Outdoor space not used but good garden and terrace. Art work adds lots of character and interesting. We had a perfect stay.

We had the most wonderful Christmas at Kear Cottage everything was just perfect

A fantastic place to stay, very comfortable, lovely decor and an incredibly well equipped kitchen.

This was a lovely property. Beautifully presented and exactly as described. Everything we needed was there and it was like a home from home. The quality of fixtures and fitting was way over expectations. Lots of information on things to do and plenty of guide books. It was a great location for getting around Cornwall and some great places to go close by.

Fantastic cottage , very well equipped in a quiet village location. Lovely extra touches such as the gin/honesty bar, as well as the Roberts radios in each room. Would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved everything about the cottage. Beautifully decorated, still traditional but with style and attention to every little detail including fresh flowers in the rooms. The interiors are similar to The Pig Hotel .... only better!! Completely immaculate and smelled fabulous!! The setting on the green by the church and the stunning back garden with bbq and lovely loungers overlooking open countryside .... just wow!! Ted the Dog really appreciated his treats so thank you from him too!!

As previously stated quality furnishings including fabrics. A cosy warm cottage highlighted with rugs, lamps & beautiful pictures. Good outside space with lovely garden furniture, relaxing chairs & bbq. Would definitely be happy to stay there again.

A lovely cottage. Quiet location and easy to find - plus the lanes to the property off the main routes are narrow as expected but not too long!

The property is finished to a high standard with excellent quality fixtures & fittings. The property accommodates dogs and the garden is mostly secure but our dog escaped the garden quite easily and onto the road so be aware of that - very large farm machinery passes by the property...

Also - watch your head in the cottage. Some of the internal doorways are deceptively low and we hit our heads numerous times!

Nicest house we've stayed in after 15 years of visiting Cornwall in the summer, would definitely book again and recommend to people

A beautifully presented house perfectly for a family get away.

An excellent and comfortable cottage ideally place for visiting all the attractions in Cornwall. Very quiet and peaceful village location.

We had wonderful week at this beautiful cottage!

You cant fail to be impressed with Kear Cottage. Its traditional yet has all the modern amenities you need. A great property, large family kitchen/diner, cosy living room and good sized bedrooms and bathroom. The extra details like DAB radios in all the rooms, split dishwasher, night light on the landing, honesty bar and dog treats made it feel like we had just borrowed someone's home for the week, it smelled lovely too. A great outside space including large bbq and table and seating for all. We loved it. The only down side is that there is only one parking space on the property meaning any other cars are on the street, although very quiet there are tractors passing by on most days not causing noise but quite hairy when passing the vehicles on the roadside.

Fantastic stay! Cottage was brilliant, ideally located, nice and quiet, has everything needed! Would highly recommend!

Loved the doggie extras, bed, treats, doggie pouch. Large garden our dog loved exploring!

Thanks for a great stay!

Ps a hot tub in the garden would be amazing!

Lovely cottage in a quiet location with everything required for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday - even dog bed & dog towel.

Kear Cottage was just what we were looking for for a peaceful retreat with our two retrievers. Everything was provided, the cottage was clean and immaculate, warm and cosy and felt like home from home. Even on one very wet day it was lovely to stay indoors and enjoy the lovely wood-burning stove. The fenced in garden gave us total peace of mind to let our dogs out at any time. We will not hesitate to re-book and recommend it to friends.

The most beautiful cottage with every attention to detail being thought of. Equipped to the highest standard. The little extras were well appreciated.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kear Cottage. One of our sons kept exclaiming "Love at first sight, love at first sight" as soon as we entered, and this is how we all felt throughout our stay. We were immediately taken in by the combination of style and coziness of the place, and altogether by the personal touch and attention to every detail. The fact that the owners obviously use this as their own holiday cottage - meaning that the house contains everything from jigsaws to bodyboards - makes Kear Cottage both very handy and gives it a very personal feel. The cottage is well placed for a number of attractions and activities: The beaches in and around Polzeath, Tintagel Castle, Bodmin Moor, Lanhydrock Castle or the Camel Trail and Camel Valley Vineyard are all within short reach. We'd come again any time. Thank you!

This cottage really does have everything. A blissful place to hang out - yet within easy reach of fabulous beaches, stunning walks, the Camel Trail and great pubs & restaurants. Every little detail has been considered - comfy beds, lovely bed linen, fabulously equipped kitchen, great garden - not just biscuits on arrival, but even a tin of dog biscuits! All a recipe for a fantastic holiday. We loved it and would definitely return.

From the moment we entered Kear Cottage we felt completely at home. The amount and quality of equipment is excellent and there was nothing that hadn't been thought of. Sumptuous bed linen and super comfy beds (even the dog had a comfy bed) Such lovely unexpected personal touches made our stay feel extra special. We did not expect a shed full of beach equipment including wind breaks, beach mat, buckets and spades etc - so very thoughtful. Kear Cottage would be my first choice of stay when I return to Cornwall without a doubt.
