We hadn't been 'glamping 'before and weren't quite sure what to expect. The Shepherds hut was lovely, beautifully furnished and clean ,great attention to detail. Most nights we cooked in the barbecue hut , a great feature, also the mini hut gave us some extra storage for our suitcases. Setting was idyllic, saw lots of wildlife, including deer, buzzards and a kingfisher. Had to watch out for baby frogs everywhere! Enjoyed getting to know the ducks and geese. Overall, a wonderful place and we had a lovely holiday....

The Shepherds Rest. WOW was our first thought when we saw it set in its own magical grounds.. it all really took our breath away. What a beautiful build with all mod cons. Fitted kitchen, oven and hob,Large walk in shower, Little log fire, OW and that lovely King size bed ?? ??. What a magical place. Go on a Monday stay until Saturday " OR MORE " Truly heaven sent. Have all your food and drink ... sit and watch the beauty around. A stunning Shepherds Hut,Two beautiful ponds & your own chill out BQ rest shed for your cosy nights. & yes no face masks to be seen !!! Says BOB the ??.. We truly believe this is a GEM... This place is stunning. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon at this little "bolthole", which is really private and so, so beautiful.

Wow! Words really can't describe just how beautiful this place is. Absolutely gorgeous. The shepherds hut was super cosy and attention to detail was second to none! Extremely practical and most importantly very dog friendly. Our dog had a fantastic time. He had his own field that was fully enclosed for peace of mind and his very own doggy hose (with hot water!) for muddy paws. This was a lovely touch! I think he enjoyed his stay more than us! The BBQ hut was amazing and the views surrounding it were stunning! Richard and Nicola made us feel very welcome. We honestly have never stayed anywhere as lovely as this. Thank you so much! This is an amazing place; so peaceful, relaxing and extremely comfortable. The barbecue hut was brilliant as it enabled us to have a barbecue and fire even when it was raining. We had a magical sunset from here one evening. Walking to the village across the field was pleasant and there was always a friendly welcome at the Ship and local shop (nice Japanese meal at pub and lovely pasties/goodies at shop). Lovely coves and coastal walks close by and would recommend Charlestown, a picturesque place with many good places to eat. There is lots to do in the area without having to travel too far. Nic and Richard are very friendly and accommodating and have done a brilliant job in making this place special. Would highly recommend and we would love to go back....
