You are welcome to bring four-legged friends along for the adventure.

Shepherds Rest is a special place to be. Communication with hosts is excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. The hut is well designed, equipped with everything you could need and the barbecue hut is a super added bonus. The location is very peaceful and quiet, lovely to be so close to nature. There’s many beautiful local walks for days without the car, the guidebooks in the hut were really useful. We had a fabulous stay and unreservedly recommend the Shepherds Hut. ...

Shepherds Rest is a delightful property set in the most idyllic location and is the perfect place to escape the crowds in Summer . It has to be one of the best huts we have stayed in, beautifully decorated and the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. The added bonus being the BBQ hut which is located next to the lake , so you can enjoy cooking outside at anytime of the year. It is such a peaceful location and the views were amazing. Richard & Nick provided a wonderful relaxing stay in the shepherds hut. They have thought of everything down to the finest detail. Perfect relaxing spot to stay. Wonderful views quite and tranquil. Would not hesitate to highly recommend staying there. We will definitely return next year....

Fabulous property with great views, a really restful site, especially to watch the abundant wildlife.Very suitable for our dog who had plenty of space to run around. A very well equipped Shepherds hut with everything you need. The owners are really lovely ,and are pleased to help if needed . Great area for walking, with the beautiful village of Lerryn only two minutes away, supporting a small shop, cafe, and pub. All do superb food, best pasties we’ve had to date. Didn’t want to leave, can’t wait to go back....
