The Hypnos king-size bed offers a blissful night's sleep. With two windows looking out over the meadow, ponds and countryside beyond.

This is a gem of a place! The setting of the shepherd's hut is magical in its tranquility and beauty. It was also very comfortable to stay in with a lot of thought having gone into the facilities- especially the BBQ hut which was fantastic. What a slice of heaven Shepherd Rest is! If you want a clean, comfortable but rustic escape in the gorgeous Cornish countryside - and especially if you love barbequing - this retreat is for you! There were so many little welcome touches, like milk and cream tea. We had all the equipment and things we needed to provide maximum comfort and relaxation. We loved how undisturbed the location was, we didn't see anyone and it was so tranquil! Our dog loved sniffing and exploring around the beautiful two ponds, with the freedom to roam within the security of the field. We loved having no signal and WiFi, allowed us to really unplug from modern life and slow down! We don't really return to locations, but this feels like the exception!...

We had a fantastic stay at Shepherds Rest! Nic and Richard are great hosts and very welcoming. The views are stunning so is all the wildlife you are surrounded by, extremely peaceful and relaxing we will definitely be back.

An amazing location. So quiet and so much space. Enjoyed the nightly visits by the local bats around the lakes.
