The Studio makes a nice retreat for two people, 5 minutes from the beach, although no real view of the sea from the property as the trees have grown, and an easy walk into Portscatho. A very comfortable bed, a good shower and a fairly comfortable sofa made for a relaxing week. Unfortunately there is no means for sitting outside to relax as there is only a picnic table in a corner. The Plume and Feathers in Portscatho is excellent for a meal out....

Good location

The only issue was not the cottage but the track going down to it. Packed with cars and difficult to get past most of the time. For this reason only we certainly wouldn"t be booking this cottage again

We're so sorry to hear that there were cars parked on the road leading towards Porthcurnick Studio. This does also lead down to a beach, hotel and outdoor restaurant, so it may have coincided with a particularly popular day in the sunny weather we've enjoyed. We can only apologise. Great location, close the the South West Coast path, some great restaurants and nearby Portscatho where there's a shop and pubs/eating out opportunities. Also close by the very popular Hidden Hut for tea/coffee/cake/lunch etc. Also not far from The Vine by Knightor - a great place to eat and drink at Trewithian. The accommodation functions but to me, its a fantastic property with tons of potential that hasn't been reralised. The bathroom is spacious, but there's no storage other than one small shower tray. The bedroom has a small wardrobe, 2 small bedside cabinets and a very comfy bed, but nowhere to store a suitcase (we just had to keep ours on the floor in the living space). The bedroom carpet was grubby and in need of a clean. The living space functions - comfy sofa, useable kitchen etc, but no thought has been given to how to really use, furnish or decorate the space, or convey any kind of 'feel'. Its just a big space with things in it and no atmosphere. If you don't mind that, not a problem. If you want somewhere that feels and looks like a cosy, coastal retreat, I'd shop around....
