Porthcurnick studio is perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and on the south coast path. Excellent location for foodies - Curgurrell farm shop, the Hidden Hut, the Standard Inn and the Driftwood Hotel are all within easy reach.

A lovely location with scenic views from the Studio and easy access to the local beach. The accommodation was very comfortable. A very enjoyable stay.

The Studio makes a nice retreat for two people, 5 minutes from the beach, although no real view of the sea from the property as the trees have grown, and an easy walk into Portscatho. A very comfortable bed, a good shower and a fairly comfortable sofa made for a relaxing week. Unfortunately there is no means for sitting outside to relax as there is only a picnic table in a corner. The Plume and Feathers in Portscatho is excellent for a meal out.

The only issue was not the cottage but the track going down to it. Packed with cars and difficult to get past most of the time. For this reason only we certainly wouldn"t be booking this cottage again

We're so sorry to hear that there were cars parked on the road leading towards Porthcurnick Studio. This does also lead down to a beach, hotel and outdoor restaurant, so it may have coincided with a particularly popular day in the sunny weather we've enjoyed. We can only apologise. Lovely secluded studio for two with lovely views.

Great location, close the the South West Coast path, some great restaurants and nearby Portscatho where there's a shop and pubs/eating out opportunities. Also close by the very popular Hidden Hut for tea/coffee/cake/lunch etc. Also not far from The Vine by Knightor - a great place to eat and drink at Trewithian. The accommodation functions but to me, its a fantastic property with tons of potential that hasn't been reralised. The bathroom is spacious, but there's no storage other than one small shower tray. The bedroom has a small wardrobe, 2 small bedside cabinets and a very comfy bed, but nowhere to store a suitcase (we just had to keep ours on the floor in the living space). The bedroom carpet was grubby and in need of a clean. The living space functions - comfy sofa, useable kitchen etc, but no thought has been given to how to really use, furnish or decorate the space, or convey any kind of 'feel'. Its just a big space with things in it and no atmosphere. If you don't mind that, not a problem. If you want somewhere that feels and looks like a cosy, coastal retreat, I'd shop around.

We're thrilled that Porthcurnick Studio ticked so many boxes for you - thanks for sharing your review. The patio furniture needs replacing regularly being so close to the coast - sorry it wasn't quite what you were hoping for. We'd love to welcome you back again soon. Julie, Customer Support

Good location

Porthcurnick studio is a gem of a find it offers tranquillity with the best views of some of the best coastline in Cornwall, the beach below is stunning and a short stroll to Portscatho were there is an adequate village store, a lovely pub, nice harbour coffee stop. All in all a perfect place to unwind

Such a wonderfully peaceful location with great views and sounds of the sea, just what I needed to relax and restore. A few minues walk to the sandy Porthcurnick beach with plenty of rock pools and the Hidden Hut for refreshments if you fancy. The walk across the top to Porthscatho was breath taking (quite literally!) and really didn't take that long even allowing for my frequent breath-catching stops on the steep inclines! The village shop is open until 7 most nights and opens on Sundays but not quite so late. It has a great range of fresh and pre-prepared foods, drinks and they stock gluten free bread! The Standard Inn became my favourite eatery and is run by the same people who have the Hidden Hut. The welcome was warm and friendly, the food was excellent! They wood roast/smoke some of the vegetables they serve and this treatment of tomatoes is most certainly something I am going to try as the bloody Mary was amazing! The towels are bath sheet size, soft and fluffy so you only need beach towels. They provide washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine powder cake, tea towel, cloths and plenty of loo roll and kitchen paper. The kitchen is well equiped so you should have everything you need and if not, the shop in Portscatho will have it. There is a 4 seater wooden picnic bench just outside the patio doors which is great for al fresco dining. Great wildlife, lots of birds and rabbit hopping about frequently. A badger trotted past the patio doors on my first wet and windy night!

Beautiful location near the beach. Excellent spacious accommodation for two people. Easy walk into Portscatho along the coast path.

Don't go their it's not worth the money. The place is grubby and the living room furnishings are very poor.

Lovely property in a peaceful location with wonderful views.

Very comfortable, well equipped studio in beautiful location very close to beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Porthcurnick Studio, the cottage is great for someone with limited mobility. The views are spectacular and the situation very peaceful. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower.

Beautiful location and views. Well equipped home. Very quiet and peaceful. Beach and coastal path just yards away with refreshment stops that were open in January for part of the week about 2 miles either way, besides Portscatho locally. No light pollution so star filled skies on clear nights and plenty of birds in the garden. The welcome pack of tea, milk, shortbreads and apple juice was much appreciated.

Great location for the beach and coastal paths and a very relaxing well appointed property.

Stunning views and location. Light and airy.

Very clean and comfortable studio, not far from the beach (a bit of a steep hike back up!).

Loved watching the wildlife and the sea.

A small car would be recommended to access the lane and turning space.

A little noise from the wedding party at the nearby hotel on one night until 11:30pm,, but other than that one evening a lovely quiet spot.

If you want to escape from it all, I would highly recommend this studio it’s tucked away but still in a very good position to get to the beach and coastal walks.

Always lovely, great walks, close to the sea , wildlife, absolutely fantastic.

We wanted something that was in good distance of coastal walks and facilities

We also wanted a place that didn’t take pets that was clean and easy to maintain for two. This was perfect

The studio is a real haven, amazing views from sunrise to sunset and yet very secluded and with all home comforts.

This was our second stay at Porthcurnick Lodge. We love the location and the ease of access to the sea etc. he studio is a great bolthole and a comfortable place to relax.
Your preparations were always thorough, but even more so since Covid, and we appreciate greatly all that you and the housekeeper are doing to keep things sanitised. We are very grateful for your efficiency, and for the personal touch you bring.

Lovely place and so peaceful. Wonderful beach a few yards away. Very comfortable.

We are returning guests to Porthcurnick Studio which is extremely comfortable and relaxing. We really love it there and always enjoy our stay there very much.

Lovely quite spot. Plenty of wildlife. Great place to recharge batteries. Good walks direct from property.

Lovely unpretentious place to unwind and relax in a beautiful location close to many places to visit. The Hidden Hut is a gem to get fantastic food from on the beach!

Thank you for your review - Portscatho is certainly a very special place and to be able to enjoy such wonderful views from the sitting-room is a bonus! We've heard great things about the Hidden Hut and we're so pleased you enjoyed it too. Hopefully we can welcome you back in the near future. Bryony, Customer Support

Alway lovely great location lovely holiday, lovely walks across the coast, Plenty of wildlife. ??

Would highly recommend this property due to its excellent location with the beach on the doorstep, and just a ten minute walk to Portscatho for eateries/pubs. It has everything you would need for a comfortable relaxing holiday, and I'm not surprised guests return year after year.

Great place so close to the sea beautiful, lots of birds & wildlife love it there thanks.

It is a very comfortable and peaceful cottage which I would recommend to any couple.

The Studio is the perfect retreat for a quiet break, with stunning views and places to visit should you wish. The Hidden Hut is a gem and serves very good snack food, along with homemade soups and cakes in a glorious setting above the bay. The Rosevine Hotel (a few yards away) also serves a superb 3-course evening meal for non-residents.

Porthcurnick Studio is so very comfortable, well equipped and has wonderful views to Portscatho. We had a lovely week here with great weather.

If you enjoy being on the beach, the location could not be better.

This is the 3rd time we have been here just love it, real treasure. Roll on next year.

A truly amazing setting.

We have stayed on the Roseland many times but this is by far the nicest place we have found.

Would come again. Early morning chorus when patio doors open amazing.

This is our second holiday here it is beautiful peaceful loved every minute thanks. Back for summer can't wait.

We had a lovely stay at the Studio and would love to stay again. Accommodation was perfect for two and very comfortable with stunning views. The Roseland Peninsula is quiet compared to the rest of Cornwall. All in all a perfect holiday.

We were most impressed by the care, thoughtfulness, and attention to aesthetic detail in the furnishing of the studio. It was excellent. It was also really nice to have flowers, milk, coffee etc on arrival. All the administration etc was very easy and you staff so helpful at all times. We really felt we were staying in a friend's home rather than simply paying guests. We had that rare occurrence - a week of wall to wall sunshine, which really added to a wonderful week. How far ahead do you take bookings for Porthcurnick Studio or for other properties ? We're sure we would like to return.

Thanks so much for your review of Porthcurnick Studio. It sounds like you had a really fantastic time overall (we do our very best to book sunshine for all!). We welcome advance reservations on our properties as early as possible to ensure your dates don't slip away. We would hold this reservation until the owner signs their contract later in the year and then call to confirm the booking. Please do get in touch with our Booking Office team who'd be happy to talk this through with you. Bryony, Customer Support

Lovely, comfortable cottage with beautiful views. Excellent star gazing at night and plenty of bird species within the vicinity.
