I found both the owners and classic very responsive when we needed them on first arrival. The cottage is beautiful and very well located for a Cornish holiday. We used the local bus service and mainly left the car at the cottage as we explored the area. Locally, the Kings Arms is a very good hostelry for food and drink, we loved the atmosphere there. We also enjoyed eating at the Godophin Arms. enjoying watching the causeway to St Michael's mount emerge as we ate dinner. The cottage itself is just about perfect, with the bedrooms downstairs in perfect darkness to ensure a good nights sleeps. Upstairs is the open plan living, well equipped, which suited us perfectly for a family of four....

My 7th stay at the Old School Room with my family. We love it here. It’s in the perfect location for an easy holiday. We were blessed with the weather and were there during the heatwave. So we didn’t use the car once, just pootled around Marazion, eating out, and relaxing in the beautiful garden. Places we ate out, The Mount, national trust tea room and lovely seating looking over the bay. And coffee places to grab a drink and sit on the lawns. The Copper Spoon, the best take out coffee and amazing almond croissants! As it was hot she was open from 10ish til she got too hot! The Godolphin, we ate here a couple of times, lunch and dinner and sat in the window watching the boats and the sunset. Great food, it was a bit tricky for me as a coeliac, but they were very friendly and helpful and foind me a few options. The Cutty Sark, the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time! The people here were lovely. The Cabin, Perranuthnoe, a lovely walk along the coast path and then delicious food overlooking the sea. We spent the week resting on the shady decking at the cottage, in the sea, wandering the coast path, pootling around the galleries with a coffee. It was an amazing break, every time we find something different to do. And I’ll hopefully be back next year!! Thanks for an amazing stay. ...

The Old School Room lives up to the Classic Cottage name. It is not only Classic, but is charming, bright and welcoming. With unique decorative touches at every turn the cottage makes you feel at home. The information booklets were helpful and thorough. We would recommend this lovely cottage to anyone visiting the Marazion area of Cornwall. ...
