The kitchen and bathroom are down one step at the back of the sitting-room, the beam there is low, so please take care.
The courtyard garden is south-facing, a sun-trap and completely enclosed to keep children and dogs safe.
The dining-room is completely separate from the sitting-room, ideal for long lazy meals.
The master bedroom has a five- foot double bed, a sloping ceiling and quirky sloping floor.
The well-equipped galley kitchen looks out over the courtyard garden.
The ground floor bathroom has a fitted shower and heated towel rail.
This charming cottage has steep winding stairs with grab rails. A stair-gate will not fit across the top, so can be placed at the door of the twin room, if required.
Bedroom 2 has a five-foot 'zip and link' bed, which splits to create twin two foot, six inch beds.
The first floor landing has a cloakroom to the left, storage space and pitched ceilings.
Pitched ceilings on the first floor add to the charm of this delightful cottage.
Situated on a quiet square, in the village of Puddletown, Beehive Cottage is opposite St Mary's Church.
The cosy sitting-room has the original inglenook fireplace with a wood-burner effect gas stove, the thatch does not allow for an open fire.

July 2019

This is a sweet little cottage with lots of character, yet still manages to provide everything people need in a small space. Lovely quiet situation opposite the church and the little patio garden at the back was an extra bonus. We enjoyed exploring the local area, where there is a lot to see, and we found everyone we met very friendly.

A beautiful little cottage, with great character, well situated for walking holidays. We loved it. The view from the cottage is Puddletown church, looks lovely, and it was lovely to hear the church bells ringing too. ??

Lovely cottage, in an fantastic, quiet location with easy access of main routes to coast. Very comfortable and cosy and superbly equipped with everything you’ll need. A small local shop and a good pub (dogs were permitted in a part of the bar) were a five minute walk away. It was perfect for our needs and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

A delightful cottage with character. It was comfortable and quiet, and perfectly located for exploring much of Dorset. The church opposite scores highly in Simon Jenkin's book of best English churches - an added bonus.
