Mowhay Barn is a fabulous barn conversion in beautiful south east Cornwall.

The dining-area is located close to the kitchen - patio doors open up to the Juliet balcony which provides wonderful views of the garden and beyond.

The main sitting-room is a fabulous room, offering plenty of space for all.

You'll enjoy the view of the garden and surrounding countryside from the sitting-room.
The spiral staircase leads up to bedroom 3, on the second floor.

The 'round room' really makes the most of the views and gives easy access to the garden.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds.
Double doors lead out from the twin bedroom to the garden.
Bedroom 1, located on the ground floor, has a comfy double bed.

There's even a second kitchen/ dining area on the ground floor- how handy is that!
Mowhay Barns sits in an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens.
There is a pond in the adjoining field, overlooked by the garden, which attracts all kinds of birds and wildlife (please take care of children).
The garden is heavenly and will delight both young and old alike (there is a second smaller pond in the garden, take care of children).
With such a wonderful backdrop you are sure to enjoy meals outside as often as you can.
The coastline is quite stunning.
As the tide goes out the tiny coves become a long stretch of golden sand.
The delightful twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are close by.
Mount Edgcumbe House and Park are well worth a visit.
There are some wonderful walks to discover at Mount Edgcumbe Park.

The barn is beautiful with stunning views and a wonderful garden, however it is situated right on the road which is surprisingly busy so expect some road noise. The road leading to the barn is very narrow and winding (even by Cornish standards) so be prepared to beep your horn and reverse to the nearest passing point. There was a lovely cream tea and fresh flowers on arrival and the friendly host visited later that day. We were unlucky enough to have a broken toilet on arrival and then a broken shower. These were fixed but the age of the equipment in the barn makes this a likely occurrence and it was very inconvenient for us. The downstairs floor is tiled and very cold on the feet even in a heatwave, so remember to take your slippers if you sleeping down there! There are no shops or restaurants nearby, the nearest pub is only open at weekends and only serves food on a Friday. Some of the beaches are tricky to access. There is a fish and ship shop, pub and Co Op in Millbrook (which has its own interesting road layout!). There is a footpath to the nearest village but otherwise roads are too narrow and winding for safe walking with children so it is necessary to drive. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Mowhay Barn - it is beautifully located as you found; we do appreciate that the access roads in this rural area are country lanes which don't usually have pavements, and they are used by local traffic to reach the lovely little towns and villages on the Rame peninsula.
