Mowhay Barns sits in an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens.
There is a pond in the adjoining field, overlooked by the garden, which attracts all kinds of birds and wildlife (please take care of children).
The garden is heavenly and will delight both young and old alike (there is a second smaller pond in the garden, take care of children).
With such a wonderful backdrop you are sure to enjoy meals outside as often as you can.
The coastline is quite stunning.
As the tide goes out the tiny coves become a long stretch of golden sand.
The delightful twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are close by.
Mount Edgcumbe House and Park are well worth a visit.
There are some wonderful walks to discover at Mount Edgcumbe Park.

The barn is spacious, well maintained and equipped. It is attractively furnished, and is situated in a beautiful and quite location. The property and garden are well looked after by the owner, who we had the pleasure of meeting. A number of useful local guides and maps were available for our perusal. I can not fault this cottage, its grounds, facilities cleanliness and setting. Its a lovely place to spend a week! I did find this part of Cornwall to have slightly fewer easy access beaches, and slightly fewer good pub restaurants. One business owner we hired bikes from joked with us it was the 'forgotten part of Cornwall' - for some people that is going to be a blessing. For us it wasn't a curse, but my ideal holiday would probably be Mowbray Barn but nearer Hayle/StIves....
