Coombe cottage is a lovely bolt hole away from it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquillity of the surroundings and it provided us with the perfect base to explore all around the area. Ruth gave us a warm welcome accompanied by a delicious cake and both her and Adam made us feel at home and assured that they were there if anything was needed. Ruth managed our expectations by phoning to say that the area was remote and where we could find a shop if we needed anything before our arrival. If you come with the mind to relax away from all the hustle and bustle, bring a good amount of supplies with you and know that the pubs and restaurants are a drive away then you are sure to have a lovely stay chilling and soaking up the views....

Our biggest bugbear was that there was no WIFI the whole week. Most things are supplied so you really need not take anything, which would have been nice to know to save packing unnecessary items. I'd take comfy garden chairs if planning to spend a lot of time in garden. And a plug-in for downstairs. The quietness was so nice.. bird song and the animals . Perfect! Smashing Host Ruth. ...
