We had a super stay at Tolpuddle and Tolpuddle cottage. It is ideally situated for some lovely beaches and resorts. The cottage was well equipped for our every need. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Had a little hiccup with the en-suite but this was sorted immediately and didn’t detract from the holiday. The village is very special with its history, idyllic cottages and a fabulous village pub.( food and staff amazing)....

This was a lovely cottage in an interesting location. Lots of country walks in the area and places to visit. The local pub is excellent. We didn’t use the cottage for cooking but it seemed to have everything one needed and generally there was much attention to detail. Good quality fittings and furnishings. A lovely place to stay....

On entering the cottage, we found a cosy, welcoming feel which continued throughout our stay. It has a well equipped kitchen/diner looking out onto a courtyard garden. There are both a bathroom and an en-suite with a good shower. A very comfortable bed gave a good night's sleep. Tolpuddle is a quiet, pretty village close to Dorchester, with many other local places of interest around. The Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum, The Tank Museum, Clouds Hill, where the cottage of T. E. Lawrence's is found, Hardy's Cottage and Athelhampton House and Gardens are just a few. Not too far is Weymouth Harbour and Nothe Castle, which were quite a find. The local pub has a varied menu and also The Royal Oak in Milbourne St. Andrew is worth a visit. This was very near and equally as good as the The Martyrs' Inn in the village, which is closed on a Monday and Tuesday. Well worth another visit. ...
