Wonderful quirky cottage in a lovely location- very handy for exploring the lovely Jurassic coastline . A visit to Beer and Branscome is a must. The standard of the accommodation is second to none with all comforts catered for.

Wonderful lace and location, the perfect holiday family get away. Secure garden for the dogs was excellent and the place was extremely well kitted out, like home form home. We will definitely be back.

Stunning accommodation in a lovely setting

Lovely home, really comfortable and well equipped: fabulous location- so much to do and see that we didn't have to leave immediate area.

A very nice location. Very good for families with children. We loved the well equipped kitchen. It was very nice to sit in the garden and watch the sunset. Ideal location to explore Devon and the Jurassic Coast.

A tastefully decorated chapel. Great location, stunning views of open countryside. Everyhting you could possibly need for a relaxing break

A very lovely holiday home would recommend it for adults and children, the only downside the first bedroom ensuite with bath shower over is only ok for children having a bath as no shower curtain or panel, also a very tight sloping ceiling for an adult to stand. But a nice shower room downstairs.

Such a very bespoke property and furnished to a high standard , And a very nice quiet village .

This house is even better in reality than in the photos. It is very well-equipped for children and for dogs with lots of seating and comfortable bedrooms. The views from the property are lovely and it is an ideal base for exploring Seaton, Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe and Lyme Regis. The chapel conversion is well done and it is well worth paying a visit!

Very good, easy to use and great communication throughout.

A fantastic place, full of character with every comfort and amenity. The area is full of interest for all ages from young to grandparents. Will definitely return

Everything worked for a lovely holiday, totally relaxed.

Musbury Chapel was our first stay using Classic Cottages - it won't be our last! ??

The overall quality of the fixtures and fixings were of a very high standard.

Lovely spot easy to go to all the local sea side resorts. It was nice to see a chapel being used because so many of them are shutting down

Musbury Chapel is the best house rental I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at quite a few. The accommodation is gorgeous, with some fabulous nods to its heritage. Well appointed, clean, tidy, great place to stay!!!

One of the very best cottages, being a superbly converted Chapel. Blessed with lovely sunny November weather so made good use of the bi-folding doors in the breakfast area. Ate out at The Hind, the local Pub on a Saturday night and found the traditional Pub food to be good.

If you think you may go for the cottage do, you will not be sorry.

A lovely light and airy property with a very useful playroom/den for children to have their own space.

Musbury Chapel is a beautiful property which exceeded expectation. An excellent destination for adults and children

Musbury Chapel is an excellent choice for a family holiday, we had a great 2 weeks and really enjoyed our stay. The property has been beautifully renovated and full of character and all the furnishings and beds were very comfortable. It was especially good for dogs as the garden is fully enclosed and secure, and the ground floors are all easy to keep clean. There are several interesting walks on the doorstep, so no need to use the car every day, but also lots of places to visit within a short drive. The property is very well equipped including books, maps, games, puzzles and piano - lots to do on a rainy day. The village shop/garage was handy, but if you want to eat in the pub (Thu-Sun only) make sure to book ahead.

It has ever thing for 3 generation holiday. 99% perfect!

Exceeded our expectations. A beautifully converted chapel completed to a very high standard throughout. Huge spacious living area, the benefit of a snug room too and a light filled kitchen with bifold doors to the sunny patio and garden with views across fields and lovely sunsets. It was quite chilly outside during our stay but the property, despite its size, was warm and cosy. The Kitchen itself is very well equipped - they’ve thought of everything. A great location for exploring East Devon and Dorset. We felt very welcomed in Musbury Chapel - loved the honesty wine crate. Great back-up support from the housekeeping team. The local Spar shop also carries a good selection of locally sourced produce including an excellent selection of fresh breads and we also shopped at Millers Farm Shop five minutes drive away, worth a visit - excellent produce. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Musbury Chapel and would love to return.

Superbly fitted out property to a very high standard. Very sophisticated heating system that proved a little challenging to understand, with ease. The housekeeper was of help but perhaps some simple instructions so that guests could access the heating, when required ,would be good. At present it suggests ‘ don’t touch’!!!!

Lovely place to stay! With the wow factor! Great for us, very child and dog friendly. Perfect location too ??

Great location. Excellent for families.

We had a wonderful repeat visit to Musbury Chapel. The chapel is a delight and very well fitted out and a lovely place to relax in. Kitchen, in particular has everything you might need. Even the weather was good!

Had a lovely Christmas week would definitely recommend

Be aware the tall people may find the Bathrooms awkward.

The cottage was lovely, the addition of the playroom and toys made my granddaughter’s holiday very special

A beautifully converted home in a fantastic location - highly recommended!

This was the most wonderful stay in an absolutely stunning building and everything about this place is perfect - the most glorious interior and gardens. This was our base for our wedding in Lyme Regis and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We really could not have asked for anything more and hope to return again at some time in the future. Many, many thanks.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Musbury Chapel. It really is an exceptional holiday cottage, from the outside maintaining the character of a chapel whereas inside it is beautifully restored and designed. It is obvious that the owners lived there for some time and had thought of every detail. Everything we needed was provided, even lots of toys for children. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the outside sitting area. The housekeeper did a great job preparing everything beautifully. Shopping : small SPAR shop 3 minutes walk, large TESCO supermarket in Axminster (5 miles away). Eating : The Hind, a great pub, just 3 minutes walk.

Excellent cleanliness levels and well equipped if cooking. One of the beds was not made up upon arrival, however, they came to rectify the problem within an hour or two. Would thoroughly recommend the chapel and area.

Excellent accommodation within easy access of sea and countryside. Shop and pub in easy walking distance. Our Granddaughter enjoyed discovering all the many toys and books. Probably one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

Wow, wow, wow! We were blown away with the beautifully restored chapel. Everything thing that we needed was provided, including everything for our young children. The location is perfect, with a short drive to Lyme Regis, Seaton and Beer and a mixture of sandy and pebble beaches.

An amazing place and we felt lucky to stay there. We also hope to be back next year.

Lovely building and the mix of old and new items within was just right and interesting.

Everything we could have wanted was provided.

We had a wonderful 4 days at Musbury Chapel. The location, interiors and attention to detail was perfect. It truly felt like a home away from home.

An excellent location, and the chapel had everything you'd need for a holiday away with families with children and pets.

Can't recommend highly enough.

Overall this is an excellent facility with a wonderful family/homely and relaxing feel to it. Can't help but love the neighbouring cows that come to meet you on arrival.

A lovely property in a good location for exploring the Jurassic coast. Very well equipped with fantastic views over the Devon countryside.

Wonderful place. Really was home from home and everything was thought of... spotlessly clean. We will definately be recommending the Chapel and would be happy to stay here again if or when we visit Devon again.

The cottage is an absolutely wonderful space in a great location for east Devon & west Dorset. The added home from home touches made it a pleasure to come ‘home’ to and those days when the weather was inclement meant staying ‘at home’ was equally enjoyable.

One of the best rental properties we have stayed in. It felt very much like someone's home, rather than an impersonal letting. The space is great for families or groups of friends, with acres of room to gather in the living area, or at one of the two dining tables. The views from the kitchen are lovely, and the garden is thoughtfully planted to give privacy and make the most of the views.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed in this cottage, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines.
