Number 4 is a fabulous little holiday cottage, beautifully presented. The ceilings are low, which was fine for most of us but took my husband a few head bumps to get used to! The location, so close to the village and within walking distance of Porthcurnick beach, was perfect for us. We’d happily stay here again.

Lovely comfortable cottage - well equipped kitchen, lovely sea views, cosy beds. We had a lovely first holiday with our new baby. Do mind your head on the shower!

Fantastic property and location. Love Portscatho,

Whist the cottage is in a lovely location and has some nice aspects it needs some deep cleaning, especially the rug in the sitting room and the front patio area. Description should state that the bathroom window opens directly into the kitchen.

We're delighted you loved the location of this waterside cottage but sorry there were some aspects that didn't quite hit the mark. We're pleased you made contact with us at the time and we were able to offer for the rug to be cleaned. Due to the age and layout of this former fisherman's cottage there will be some quirks such as the internal window and hope this didn't detract too much from your stay in beautiful Portscatho. Well appointed cottage in a central location, offering everything you need for a restful holiday

Lovely quaint cottage in a pretty coastal village with good amenities. Amazing views from both front and back elevations. Would definitely stay again.

Great cottage in a fabulous location. Waking up to views of the sea every morning is all you can ask for on a holiday.

We loved the cottage - even better than the description. The location was excellent - amazing sea views and right in the middle of a lovely village with a very well stocked shop, butchers, pub, restaurant and the wonderful Harbour club.

It's so perfect that we don';t really want anyone else to know about it!

Fabulous views, fabulous location

Fishdermens cottages are a bit spartan, espe cially when stripped down to bare floors and bare stairs all wooden and echo noise, kitchen cold feeling.

Thanks so much for your review - Number Four is a traditional old fisherman's cottage revamped in a wonderful modern coastal style as detailed in the description. We do have a wide range of traditionally furnished and more modern properties available so if you're looking for something different in the future, please do just give us a call. Be a little clearer with instructions in the cottage about where the dryer and washing mashing were located and about whether the back garden is shared as the layout is confusing.

Thanks for your comments - a full list of facilities available in each room (including the laundry shed outside) is shown on our web site to help guide guests, but please feel free to speak to the local housekeeper or our office if you have trouble locating anything. There is a front garden and a lovely raised deck at the rear for sole use of guests at Number Four. Tanya, Customer Support

The cottage was very comfortable and homely and perfect for a family of 4. The locations is excellent and the views from cottage as well as the deck in the back garden are great. It was also nice having a separate laundry room outside. The only improvement could be increasing the size of the dining space next to the kitchen, if possible, but we were all able to fit around the small eating table.

It's a beautiful cottage in a very beautiful and peaceful location

This is a beautiful, cosy cottage in a really friendly village. It’s the perfect spot to watch the world go by, head to beach or walk the coastline. The top of the garden has wonderful views and is ideal for dinner overlooking the sea. We loved the neighbours who made our holiday even more memorable. The village doesn’t feel too touristy and has a great shop, pub and cafes. We would definitely return here.

Lovely compact cottage in a perfect location.

Number Four is a lovely cottage in a fantastic location. The local shop is amazingly well stocked, the local pub does great food, there are some very nice galleries to look around, and there are brilliant walks and beaches close by, so no need to travel further afield. It's an ideal location for a truly stress-free holiday!

Fabulous location and views.. wonderful village. friendly people.

The cottage was delightful. The views from the cottage are beautiful and definitely home from home.

Great place to stay - for a couple with a toddler (and if you're no taller than 5' 6") but beware weekends - parking & late night rowdiness!

Thanks for your review - we're delighted you enjoyed your stay. There is limited head room under the shower due to the lower ceiling (have a look at our photos) but this is just the nature of a traditional fisherman's cottage. We were really sorry to hear you were disturbed by noise outside - this isn't something that's been mentioned before, so hopefully it was an isolated incident due to some overly jolly (but rather inconsiderate!) revellers. A super little cottage with bags of character, perfect for couples looking for a comfortable bolthole by the sea... With a great view of the bay from the deck in the back garden, we are in love with Porthscatho...
