Mr Weaver September 2023
The location of this property is wonderful, but the cottage was cluttered with the owners belongings and felt grubby.

We love staying here in the idyllic village of Portscatho. It has a great position on the Lugger, close to lovely coastal walks and great amenities- food and drink, farm shop, local stores. cosy log fire. Pretty small front garden in which to soak up the evening sun with a gin in hand chatting to the locals and other visitors as they go by.
Dr Smith July 2023
Lovely cottage in a fantastic location, just moments from the beach. The cottage was very clean and cosy, with a very well equipped kitchen. The views are excellent and its a short walk to the pub/well stocked shop/cafe etc. Perfect place for a tranquil week by the sea.
The only downsides of note are that it is a small cottage (as advertised) and if you are over 6ft you will be ducking through every doorway and unable to stand under the shower head. The bed is quite soft (if that's not your thing), and the curtains are thin in the east facing bedroom so take a portable blackout blind if you aren't into 5.30am sunrises!
Mr Jackson August 2022
Slipway Cottage is in an amazing location and we never tired of sitting in the front garden watching the world go by. The description on the website is accurate and although not boutique in style it is a very well cared for property and has everything you need. The quirks of the cottage add to its charm. We visited all the local eateries and used the local shop and all are top notch. Lovely beaches within walking distance and stunning coastal walks on the doorstep. Would absolutely return.
Mrs King July 2022
A cosy home, close to all the village amenities walks with wonderful harbour views.
You can go car free should you choose and use busses ferries to discover this lovely part of Cornwall.
Mr Mellor July 2022
No privacy due to no back garden , bit shabby and uncomfortable, we were there for two weeks ,two weeks too long, parking a nightmare

We're so sorry to hear that this property wasn't for you. The description online does detail the garden being at the front (perfect to watch the world go by) and the parking in the village public car park. We would have welcomed a call during your stay to see if we could help with anything as we never want a guest to be disappointed, and we're sorry that we didn't get the chance to help you enjoy your stay a little more. This really is an ideal place to stay in and relax into the Cornish pace of life. Lovely to look at, look out from, settle into, or use as a base for the great walks along the coast. Little gems of places close by, such as the Hidden Hut and the Plume of Feathers. We treated ourselves to lunch on the terrace at the Idle Rocks. Highly recommended.
