Take the passenger ferry from the harbour at St Mawes and spend the day in Falmouth.
St Mawes has some great choices when it comes to dining.
Take the King Harry Ferry over the river Fal to explore West Cornwall.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan make for a great day out.

We have stayed at Lugger End several times over the last few years and simply love it. Everything has been thought of and when we drive down the road to the house always that feeling of, “ahhhh we’re back and relax!” It’s a very special house and location and everything you could possibly want has been provided. Much thought and attention to detail has gone into this much loved family home - all of which is hugely appreciated by us on our visits. Lugger End is an ideal house for families - lots of room to spread out for the whole family - and outside hot shower made it easier to keep sand out of the house after being on the beach - kids loved it. You need to book pub or captains cabin in advance for food - menu and service were great ( lobster Fridays - book in advance) they were busy - both offer takeaway as well. The local shop provides all you need - the best pasties fresh everyday - and the ice cream shop was a must too - great choice of delicious ice creams. The hidden hut was busy and the food fabulous. Overall just a perfect place to stay!...
