The location of this cottage is fantastic, close to the beach, shops and pubs and is ideal for a small family

Our second year running at Brackley. We were pleasantly surprised and delighted this year to find on arrival the house had been redecorated , with new carpets and bathroom flooring throughout. All together providing a much fresher feel to an already comfortable accessible and affordable holiday let in a much loved village we have been visiting non stop since 1980!

Lovely spacious cottage well fitted out, with good views over the estuary and beach. Private parking.

Brackley house, is a lovely cottage close enough to the sea and shops that it takes seconds to get to either, but far enough away you don’t hear noise from the Rising Sun pub or Idle Rocks Hotel. We would recommend St Mawes and Brackley House to everyone.

Fantastic property! Beautiful views whether good or bad weather. Very quiet, relaxing, well equipped homely property in central St. Mawes & fantastic to have an onsite parking. Thank you

Perfect location and great views and comfortable. E we’re really able to relax here. So lovely we booked to come back before we’d left!

Brackley House is a lovely property with lovely views with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Will be booking again for next year.

Overall an excellent surprisingly quiet central location with great views and plenty of space

We have stayed at Brackley House a number of times over the years. We were delighted to see this time when we walked in that the house had been re carpeted and decorated throughout along with new flooring in the bathrooms. This has really brightened the house up, it’s a very comfortable house with plenty of space.

In addition there is a good size parking space which is unusual for St Mawes

It has a great view over Summers beach from the lounge and balcony.

We would stay here again.

The house is very convenient for the village, with just one hill to the centre and harbour where you can find shops, cafes and restaurants.

A very well equiped house with a large, airy kitchen, comfortable dining room with large table for spreading maps and excellent sitting room with good TV and access to outdoor area. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable with an adjoining ironing room proving very useful. We are well into our seventies and found Brackley excellent for walking to the shops, ferries, beach etc. We loved it!

Very disappointed with the cottage. Photographs on the website show rooms looking cleaner, brighter and much nicer in the photographs than they actually are. These are old photographs. Decor and furnishings tired and in need of attention. Floors, carpets and skirting-boards extremely dirty. Cupboards grubby inside.
The cottage obviously had not been cleaned properly for some considerable time and cannot have been inspected by Classic Cottages recently. We would not recommend staying in this cottage until it has undergone a deep clean and improvements to the decor. Poor value for money.

We're so sorry that Brackley House didn't hit the mark for you, and are really grateful for you sharing your thoughts with us and with the owner. We have carried out an inspection as a result of your comments, and fed back our findings. Following a very busy season, the owner has blocked out some time to carry out a schedule of refurbishment and renovation works over the winter months, and your suggestions are helpful in prioritising the order of works. This property is very tired and smelly, the cleanliness is not great either.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We so wish we'd known during your stay that you felt the cleanliness needed more attention as usually any issues can be easily rectified, and we'd have happily asked the cleaning team to return. Despite this, we really hope you enjoyed your stay in St Mawes overall. Kelsey, Customer Support

Lovely cottage and fantastic views. Bonus having the car parking space. Already going to book for next year.

Great location with lovely views and the covered parking space is a real bonus. Everything you need close by, would stay here again.

Terrific location and the massive advantage of parking. Good space within accommodation and very useful balcony to catch views and rays.

A great location with sea views, particularly of Summers Beach.

We had a lovely week in Brackley House in St Mawes. The cottage is in a good position in the village and in an excellent location for exploring the surrounding area. Plenty to do and see with an excellent choice of places to eat. The cottage was lovely if perhaps a little tired decor wise but it had everything needed for a good holiday .

Fantastic location, stunning views from the living room/balcony. Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen. Fantastic base to explore the area. Beaches are just stunning.

We stay regularly in Brackley House which is an attractive house in a central location in St Mawes with parking. One of our favourite features is the balcony with views towards Summers beach.

The cottage is in an excellent location although the furnishing are showing signs of wear and tear due to the age.

My granddaughter had a great holiday in St Mawes with amazing weather. She was already familiar with Brackley House having stayed in the property several times before. It was her boyfriends first visit to Cornwall and , like the rest of us is hooked!! She missed the usual vase of dahlias on the dining room table! Our thanks to the owners and all at Classic Cottages.

Lovely, clean cottage in an ideal setting with beautiful views. Very close to pubs and cafes in the village yet very quiet and secluded.

The cottage was very conveniently located at the centre of the village and had great views from all upstairs windows. The parking space in the car port was much appreciated, as well as the lovely balcony above. It exceeded our expectations and we would recommend.

A lovely stay!

We thought Brackley House was great, it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The furnishings are a little dated but we didn’t find that an issue. The main bed was very comfortable meaning we slept well. We loved the view from the balcony especially. The location is excellent, although the hill up to the house is very steep and someone with mobility issues might find it difficult. All in all a real find!

Really comfortable cottage that gives you peace and quiet while just being yards away from a great beach and a bustling village centre

Not as good as it looks

Brackley House is well located to enjoy St Mawes. It is within easy walking distance of pubs, shops, harbour, beach and castle. It is an upside down house and has a good view from the balcony and first floor rooms. It is spacious and well equipped. The interior would however benefit from an upgrade and maintenance.

Great location and very good value would highly recommend

A most comfortable property.Has steep stairs to first floor(Kitchen/Lounge/Cloakroom).Three bedrooms on ground floor with bunk room through double bedroom. One en-suite bathroom to double and one shower room to twin bedded.Heating worked well after initial complicated storage heating adjustment.Parking under car-port needs careful movement but good space and convenient.Close to all amenities so all in all a most enjoyable week.Thank you.

Excellent location in the heart of St Mawes, close to the harbour and beach. Ideal base for exploring the Roseland

A lovely cottage in a great location with wonderful views. We love St Mawes and enjoyed another lovely holiday in Brackley House!

A very enjoyable stay in a bright, welcoming cottage. The position is stunning and very convenient and the cottage is well-equipped. The reversed living/sleeping accommodation makes the most of the wonderful views.

Nice homely cottage, close to village amenities with parking and well equipped with everything you need.

Brackley House is a light airy cottage with good views and a sunny balcony. There is ample accommodation for four adults and two children and the cottage is well-equipped. All of the village amenities are close at hand with easy access to the ferry for trips further afield.

This is a great location perfect for the village of St Mawes the parking is a bonus along with the sun terrace. Have already booked next years

A very clean cottage in a wonderful location near the harbour in St Mawes. Great views from the balcony where we ate every day. We bought a Mussel card which gave us free travel for several days on the local ferries, trains & buses. The ferries run frequently and are easy to use.

Excellent position for the beach, restaurants and shops. Sea views (over the tops of buildings) from upstairs. Parking space (which is unusual in St Mawes)

An excellent property in an excellent location.

Great location and very clean, Brackley House was the perfect base for our family to explore the Roseland and surrounding areas.

It actually exceeded our expectations. We hadn't realised that we would have views from all the windows upstairs. It was really comfortable and spacious. It's location was perfect and the fact that there was room for a car was a bonus. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

a wonderful retreat with real character yet plenty of room

Very clean, light and airy , very convenient to walk into St Mawes.

It's a comfortable cottage in a good location that offers good value for money. This is our second booking in it and we would happily book it again.
