No. 1 North Parade sits in a fabulous location for exploring Portscatho and the surrounding coastline and countryside. Access to the beach, South West coast path and local facilities are just a few minutes from the doorstep. A wonderful place to enjoy, relax and come back to after a day of exploring. ...

Mrs Murphy October 2025

Lovely little ‘bolt hole’ for two. Fantastic walks close by. Good food in two nearby pubs. Our stay was somewhat marred by the housekeeping not being up to scratch ( dirty saucepans from previous guests use) and the lack of items that were supposed to be left for us ( toilet rolls, logs etc) A solitary loo roll with just a few sheets remaining isn’t good enough for guests arriving very late at night long after the shop is closed. A few pieces of split wood logs in an opened bag is not the ‘bag of logs’ described as being left for guests use. Overall the cottage was clean and comfortable but it’s the little extras that make things nice and although they were supposed to be there ( loo rolls, boxes of tissues, laundry powder, full bag of logs etc) they were missing. We know they were supposed to be there because we saw the list of what the housekeeper is supposed to leave, it’s taped to the inside of a cupboard. Another thing is the noise from the club opposite the bedroom window. It’s bad. If you can get past this it’s ok but if you are craving peaceful nights look for somewhere else to stay. It’s noisy some nights until 2am. Bottom line; nice little place to stay, lovely little village but the housekeeper needs to had a word with. ...

Mrs McClelland March 2024

The welcome we were given was amazing. All the food/drink needed to cover you till you could get to the shops. The cottage was an utter delight - very tastefully decorated and furnished and super comfortable. When a problem with the dishwasher was reported, the response was immediate so service was excellent. Highly recommended....
