Location perfect
Mrs Long June 2022
Lovely house in a beautiful setting. This was our second visit to Andrews House. The house is in a great location very close to Dulverton. This is an ideal spot for exploring the area. The house is very charming with great views.
Mrs Cam May 2022
This is the third time we have stayed at Andrew's House and we have never been disappointed. The location is excellent for walking to the village pub, restaurants and to the well stocked co-op,which seems to be open all hours. Sadly the Fish & Chip shop was closed during our stay. The cottage provides extensive information regarding the surrounding areas to visit by car or walking. Altogether an excellent location and property for country and coast.
MR. BROWN April 2022
A very comfortable cottage very close to everything we needed for the week. Nicely furnished and great information in local walks and maps. We rarely return to the same property but this cottage would be the exception.
Mrs Vasa March 2022
House very close to Dulverton along a lovely riverside path. House excellent but could do with an extra armchair if 5/6 adults are there. Heating and hot water plentiful and beds very comfortable. Lovely views. Bac again in September.
Ms Giles September 2021
The cottage was as described and really lovely. Clean and well equipped and great location in Dulverton.
Mrs Holmden July 2021
We'd stayed at the house in 2017 so knew it was convenient, roomy and comfortable for 5 adults/1 child. It was extremely clean but soft furnishings carpets/upholstery etc a little tired. Nice to see the extra freezer and wine fridge as we'd found lack of cold storage a nuisance on previous visit. Housekeeper was very helpful as there was a build up of rubbish awaiting collection and took some of this to the tip. Not her fault as pick up point for recycling had been changed. Only real niggle we had was lack of towels - just one each (bath size) provided and a single hand towel in each bathroom for general use. We'd have cheerfully bought more if we had known this was all being provided. All in all it's a real family house in a lovely location, which we'd cheerfully recommend to other family groups.

We're so delighted that you chose to return to Andrew's House and hope that you had a fabulous stay. We're sorry to hear of the issue you had with lack of towels and will, of course, pass this information on to the owners. Thank you for your feedback, it's always so helpful. We're glad to hear that you loved this stunning family house and appreciated the great loation. Julie, Customer Support
Mrs Bouch July 2021
Good location but this property is the worst we have stayed in terms of cleanliness, it needs a professional deep clean and some new upholstery. Unfortunately was also infested with flies during our stay, which the owners were helpful about but left us feeling the whole place was quite unclean.
Reply from Classic Cottages
We're so sorry that you experienced an issue with flies coming in to the cottage and we're grateful for you letting us know so that a pest controller could be arranged. Unfortunately you can sometimes experience flies in a rural area, especially when surrounding crops are being harvested, but it's not something we've had an issue with at Andrew's House before. Thanks so much for giving us the chance to put matters right for you. Tanya, Classic Cottages
Mrs Long June 2021
Beautiful house in a wonderful position. Great to be so close to Dulverton, with lovely small shops and great walks around the area. The house was just perfect for two couples. It was very clean and comfortable with two great bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.
Mr White April 2021
Set in beautiful countryside Andrew’s cottage is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing break. Dulverton in a joy.
Mrs Lewis April 2021
Andrew's House is a very well appointed house on the edge of a lovely, small town. Ideal location for experiencing Exmoor. House amenities of a very good standard, very comfortable. Felt at home.
Mrs De Lukowicz April 2021
We really enjoyed our stay at Andrew’s Cottage. The cottage is in a great location, close to the river and the town, which has restaurants, a pub, Cafe a deli and a co op. We found lots to do in the area, there’s a great circular walk straight from the door which goes up up the hill to beautiful views and then along the river. The cottage was warm and well maintained. Great powerful showers and the 2 double bedrooms were comfy. However the children didn’t sleep well in the twin bedroom. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and one of the beds is a zed bed which is not what we expected. Also this room faces the road which is not always busy but does at times have a flow of traffic into the town and the car headlights beam in at night. Overall though it was a lovely break in a beautiful part of Exmoor and we would recommend the cottage to friends.

Thanks so much for letting us have your thoughts folllowing your stay at Andrew's House and we're delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We're sorry that you found the mattresses to be uncomfortable in the twin room - we do find that mattress comfort is very much a personal preference and it can be very difficult to find something that 'ticks the boxes' for everyone. The comfort of our guests is of the upmost important to us and our owners, so we'll certainly let them have your thoughts for their consideration. We'll also see if we can make it clearer that one of the beds is a zed bed so thank you for highlighting this. Tressa, Customer Support
Mrs O'Neill October 2020
This is an excellently located cottage for all amenities, local always and local services and hospitality. Would thoroughly recommend .
Mrs Williams September 2020
The house was very comfortable, warm and very clean. With two bathrooms and two double beds it was excellent for 4 adult guests.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The area was very good for walks, sightseeing and the seaside. Great being able to walk to the pub and local shop was very convenient. An excellent stay.
Mr Rogers March 2020
A truly lovely property which had a very homely feel, you can't help but relax.
Miss Dale December 2019
Andrews House is fabulous, so comfortable and spacious but cosy at the same time. Perfect for exploring Exmoor and a short stroll into Dulverton which is so pretty: I would highly recommend this house
Mrs Eves October 2019
Andrew's House is a beautiful, spacious, cottage located just a few minutes walk from Dulverton. We were impressed with the quality of the furnishings and linens and found it to be nice and clean on arrival. Beds are comfy and the log burner makes the lounge area lovely and toasty. Parking for two cars is available in an area to the side of the house, that's partially off-road. We didn't use the garden due to time of year/weather, but it is a decent size and fully paved and looks to be quite unoverlooked. Dulverton itself is a great little town with everything you'll need - co-op, butchers, greengrocer, deli, tea room, tourist info centre, little independent shops and, most importantly, a decent pub! The Bridge Inn is a small, friendly, place serving decent food, but gets busy so best to book, especially at the weekend. We visited the Tarr Steps (and nearby pub), Exmoor Zoo and the Exmoor Pony Centre, which were all worth a visit. We had fun at Kilve Beach looking for fossils with our daughter. It's an amazing beach if you're into fossils/geology, but do not expect to roll your towels out and make sand castles. It's very rocky and uneven and silty in places. We loved it! Fab holiday and would return in a heartbeat.
Mrs Knott March 2019
Andrew's House was a joy to stay in - spotlessly clean, fabulous shower and really comfortable bed. Everything you could possibly need in the well equipped kitchen. The underfloor heating made the house lovely and cosy to return to after a good long walk. We loved it! Brilliant location for walking [which we love]. With so many footpaths to choose from our car became redundant and we spent everyday walking the moors and countryside making sure that we were back in Dulverton in time for tea and cake or a gorgeous cream tea at one of the fantastic cafes in the town. Not sure if our calorific output exceeded our calorific intake!
Mrs Colebrook March 2018
The house was exceptionally well decorated and furnished throughout, well equipped and warm and welcoming.
Mrs Laycock September 2017
We had a wonderful stay at Andrews House.Excellent location and very short walk into Dulverton which is a delightful place, very friendly and with excellent places to eat and variety of small shops.Fabulous walking right from the door in stunning scenery. Also close to great National Trust Properties. The house is of a very high standard, very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Its been in the family for 40years and actually felt like we were staying in someone's beautiful home rather than a holiday let.The housekeeper does an excellent job of keeping the place spotless and we were very grateful for that thank you. There were lovely flowers, fresh milk and a yummy chocolate cake ,tea coffee etc, waiting for us, thank you, very kind and much appreciated. We were slightly disappointed not to have zip & link beds or BT Sport working as advertised and also freezer space is an ice box in under counter fridge rather than a fridge freezer. We would love to come and stay again in such a delightful house, thank you to the owners too.

Mr Taylor August 2017
We all loved Andrew's house, which is very comfortable, clean and stylishly furnished - a very elegant house. The odd small thing would have been nice like a shaver point and more relaxing furniture for outside for when it is hot but, nevertheless, it is a really well-equipped house, and a great place to holiday.
Andrew's House is very conveniently placed to walk into charming Dulverton along the beautiful Barle river. Part of the property does face a - at times busy - 'B' road but that also means that its location is very convenient for exploring Dulverton and the beautiful surrounding area.
Mrs Leader July 2017
Beautiful house, very comfortable beds. Fabulous location, even in the rain. Lovely holiday, thank you.
Mrs Holland May 2017
We had a lovely week in Andrew's House and thought the cottage was beautifully presented. Plenty of room for us all and lots to do in the area. Although we had some extremely hot weather, the cottage was amazingly cool which was wonderful. We would recommend the local pub 'The Bridge Inn' for a reasonably priced evening meal. Food and standard of service superb. Take care parking, especially if you have two cars, as the road is busier than you would expect and the layby a little rough. We would DEFINITELY return to this cottage if ever we were in the area again.
Mrs Cockcroft November 2016
This cottage is in the perfect location for walking, visiting the local area, but close enough to walk along the side of the river into the village.
Mrs Clifford October 2016
A superb holiday home, even better than the pictures. Great position for Dulverton with its nice shops and pubs. We really enjoyed our stay.
Mrs Hutchison October 2016
We really enjoyed our stay at Andrew House. and look forward to returning there.
Mr Roberts September 2016
A great location and nice cottage to stay at with family joining us for a few days in the middle of the week. Can't do much about the mixed English weather but a lovely place to stay and can highly recommend the Thai restaurant in town. Thank you.
Mrs Mason August 2016
Fabulous cottage, well positioned to visit both coast and moors. Loved being able to walk into Dulverton both during the day and in the evening. Excellently equipped with finishing touches that made a truly memorable holiday. Thank you.
Mrs Vaughan June 2016
Beautiful cottage which has been decorated to very high standard. We loved the pieces of art work especially the Ken Dunn piece in the kitchen. The cottage us very peaceful but only a short walk into Dulverton. We hope to go back again - thank you.
Ms Harland May 2016
Lovely, stylishly furnished and conveniently arranged house in a good location. Beautiful sunny terrace for summer afternoonsand well equipped for whiling away a rainy afternoon. A lovely place to stay.

Mr Winters February 2016
A lovely cottage in a convenient location for exploring Exmoor. All comforts are provided in this stylish accommodation.
Mr Davis December 2015
Great accommodation on the outskirts of a lovely village, the peace and tranquillity suited us all.
Ms Brown December 2015
This cottage was perfect for a christmas short break, assisted by the proximity of Dulverton. The property description didn't really do justice to the range of independent shops and welcoming atmosphere of the town.
Mr Vaessen October 2015
It was a lovely house near a very lovely village
Mrs Bell September 2015
Andrews House is in a good location, Dulverton is a lovely village right on the very pretty river Barle with great walks locally. The Lion Hotel fully recommended great food.
