This is Lichen, the ground floor bedroom. There is a 'zip and link' bed which can become twin beds and a further single bed; a great family room.
The separate family bathroom is light and cheery, perfect for a soak at the end of the day.

We made a suggestion to the wildlife trust to lower the height of the hedge outside the conservatory so that you can actually see into the reserve and observe some wildlife. As it’s listed as a dog friendly property a dog water bowl and food bowls would have been great, maybe even a dog bed. The garden is not secure for anyone with a smaller dog as they can just walk out under the gate into the road. ...

We have tried to show all aspects of the cottage and leafy garden on our website and where is the best place from which to view wildlife; as there is verdant growth all around the cottage the conservatory is surrounded with greenery giving privacy from visitors to the reserve. Your four-legged friends are very welcome on holiday with you at Beech Cottage and we are sorry bowls and a bed were not available; we are sure the owners would liked to have helped with this had they known. These items are not part of the general inventory so it would be best to check ahead of arrival for specific items so there is time to provide them. Dogs are very adept at finding gaps to squeeze through even in the best enclosed spaces so we always suggest keeping an eye on them, especially as there is livestock as well as wildlife nearby. We (a group of 5 musical friends) have spent long weekends at Beech Cottage for many years. The space in the sitting room is perfect for us to sit, chat and play without needing to move our precious instruments. Spacious and light conservatory / dining room which feels part of the natural surroundings. When the evenings are chilly the heating makes the cottage cosy. All in all excellent stay. very helpful teamat Classic Cottages. Very comfortable, All the group enjoyed their stay. The wasp nest which was outside the dining room not so good. Would have prefered a warning about this as i am Petrified of wasps and had to have one of my friends with me when i was in the kitchen and dining room. Would have been nice to have had it delt with ahead of our arrival Apart from the third paragraph, good value for money. the group definetly want to stay again Only reason for the for stars not being informed about the wasp nest before our arrival...
