The sailing mecca of Falmouth is just a short drive away and has a plethora of independent shops, cafes and art galleries.

The property, 'Cedar', more than met our expectations. Location - quiet but not isolated. The indoor pool & the private jacuzzi made the place extra special. We had wine, a bottle of milk & some nice biscuits waiting for us on our arrival. Our hostess, Mrs Bassett, was there to greet us on our (late) arrival & arranged a quick demo' of equipment, etc for a time that suited us next day. The decor in Cedar & the little home touches, as well as the cleanliness, made us feel right at home. When the weather was poor we made use of it & the amenities. We looked forward to getting 'home' after exploring & walking during the day. And Netflix! We can't wait to go back next year! ...

The nicest place we have ever stayed, for a number of reasons. The owner is very attentive and gave us a guided tour on arrival. The owner is onsite and available when needed but not intrusive in any way. The lodge itself has everything you could wish and is fantastically decorated and furnished. The little touches on arrival also made the holiday seem more special. There were eggs, milk orange juice, wine and everything you need for cream tea's waiting for us. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained, we played tennis everyday, often more than once and every time we used the pool we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. The Emerald feels remote but in reality is a great base for exploring, a 5 minute drive into Truro for amenities and most attractions are within a 45 minute drive. We often say we would go back to a place and never do, the Emerald is an exception....
