There are gardens on two sides of Ashey Barn, with a patio-area for eating outside if you wish. This is a very private setting.
Somerset is a beautifully varied county. This view across the levels, with Glastonbury Tor in the distance, is taken from a vantage picnic point at the top of the Mendips.
The north Somerset coast is an easy drive to the west. This is the boardwalk at Weston-super-Mare.

We had a lovely stay, in an exceptionally well equipped cottage (everything you can think of in terms of utensils is provided). The owner was very friendly, very knowledgeable of the area, and able to provide excellent advice which was greatly received (even providing a location to exercise our dog on a morning)....
