Stunning place to go if you like peace and quite and no one overlooking you.it has everything you need ,cozy bed ,frige, hob. and a lovely shower. Outside has bbq,chimnea,beautiful seating areas ,hammock and a well stocked fishing lake,boat ect. We could even take our dog for a little extra. All round beautiful place. We will be back but for longer....

We had the most amazing stay in this beautiful shepherd’s hut and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect escape — peaceful, private and surrounded by the most breathtaking views. The setting is absolutely picturesque, tucked away in the middle of nowhere with the most incredible scenery and complete peace and quiet. One of our favourite moments was taking the short walk up to the top of the hill and watching the sunset — it was truly magical and a memory we’ll take away with us. The shepherd’s hut itself was perfect. It was beautifully presented, cosy and incredibly well equipped. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom had excellent water pressure, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a fridge and freezer, making it feel like a real home away from home. The outside area was a real highlight. The seating area was fantastic and the perfect place to relax, take in the views and enjoy the surroundings. Having the barbecue and chiminea made the evenings even more special — sitting outside, enjoying the fire and the tranquillity was exactly what we hoped for. We also loved being able to make the most of the lake, from taking the rowboat out and enjoying the peaceful surroundings to trying our hand at fishing. It added such a unique and special touch to the stay. The host was exceptional — so friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. This was an absolutely perfect stay and everything had clearly been thought of to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed. We loved every minute and will hopefully be booking again. We would highly recommend this beautiful little retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature....

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing few days surrounded by beautiful countryside, and Shepherds Delight was the perfect place for it. We expected to spend much more time out and about, but we kept finding ourselves back on the spacious decking, looking out over the gorgeous lake, whether it was with a cup of coffee in the morning or by the fire in the evening. The whole place has been so thoughtfully designed, both inside and outside the shepherd’s hut. The wooden interiors, rowing boat, BBQ, well-equipped kitchen with a small fridge, and the amazing shower were all lovely touches that made our stay even more special. You can also take a short walk through the adjacent field to see the lovely alpacas, or head up the hill behind the hut for stunning views across the Devon countryside. The owner was incredibly accommodating and gave us a little tour of the property and its immediate surroundings when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. We also took the recommended 15-minute drive to The Agricultural Inn, where we had a wonderful evening. We couldn’t recommend Shepherds Delight more, and if we ever find ourselves back in Devon, we’ll definitely be staying here again!...

This shepherd's hut is perfect for those who want an away from it all peaceful break. Hut is very comfortable & surroundings beautiful. Just what we needed. Will definately return & would absolutely recommend.

We loved staying here for a few days of tranquility by the water. So nice to have plenty of wood provided for the Chiminea and BBQ So relaxing rowing around in the little boat spotting the fish and birds . Brilliant shower and comfortable accommodation , lots of thoughtful things for our use and a friendly welcome from the owner when we arrived....
