An absolutely charming little shepherds hut, in the most idyllic setting! So peaceful and relaxing. The perfect place for a nap sat next to the lake next to the fire. Absolutely stunning setting!

It was the most amazing place! So beautiful and magical, surrounded by nature — and we even made a little friend: a robin who stayed with us for our whole stay! Having a boat was such a lovely experience, and being able to make a fire in the evenings and at night was so much fun and made it feel so cozy. We will definitely come back soon!...

Shepherd’s Delight is a lovely place, in beautiful surroundings. The hut itself is very well maintained - warm and cosy with an excellent shower and kitchen (including small fridge) which is perfect for cooking meals enough for two. We could have gone out to eat or explore the woods nearby, but we ended up spending most of our time relaxing on the lounge chairs, by the lake, on the boat, in the hammock, and walking in the woods and fields around the hut. The fire outside was perfect for sitting in front of after dark, and I made a small fire inside to warm up the place for the night (although to be honest, it would have been warm enough anyway). On the occasions we did leave the site, we went to visit Killerton House (10 mins drive) and Morrisons (less than 10 mins). For a couple living in London this was the perfect getaway - tranquil, peaceful, and an ideal way to recharge. We would definitely book again next time we’re in Devon. Paul, who hosted us was very helpful and friendly....
