The Parlour is the largest of a group of three cottages at this coastal Dorset Farm, the front door is around the right side of the cottage.
The incredible view of Dorset's famous landmark, Golden Cap is right in front of you.
The kitchen is very well-equipped with a large pantry in the corner.
There is a sunny, enclosed patio with that fabulous view.
The double bedroom (Bedroom 1) has a king-size bed.
Everything that you need to create a holiday feast.
The comfortable living/dining-area has French doors that really celebrate the view.

The Parlour is next to The Linhay (2661). Both are designed to be very private but can be linked together to create a larger cottage.

The second bedroom (Bedroom 2) has plenty of space for three beds.
The third bed in bedroom 2 is a 'day bed', but just as comfortable as the twin beds.

The Parlour is in the nearest cluster of buildings to the left of the photograph, Golden Cap is beyond and Chideock village is to the right.
Walk for miles and miles in the wonderful scenery of the National Trust Golden Cap estate.
Charmouth beach is a great place for children to search for fossils.
National Trust Lambert's Castle is an undiscovered gem for walks with extraordinary views of the Jurassic Coast (you can see to Portland) and the Dorset countryside.
Visit West Bay with it's sandy cliffs. It's the 'home' of Broadchurch.
Venture a little further afield to 'Hardy Country' near Dorchester. This is Thomas Hardy's cottage.
The beautiful little town of Lyme Regis deserves a visit. Take a walk along the historic Cobb and, at low tide, perhaps go on a fossil hunt.

The Parlour is a beautiful property large enough for 5 people and in a wonderful location on a farm In Chideock close to Charmouth, Lyme Regis & Bridport. It has a very peaceful location even though the busy A35 is only half a mile away. The property is very well maintained & overlooks Golden Cap with numerous lovely countryside walks from the house. It’s one of the best properties we have stayed in with 2 small Spar Shops close by in Seatown & Chideock and Morrisons 15 minutes away in Bridport. Dorset is a beautiful County and its Jurassic Coast is quite stunning. We arranged a Guided Fossil walk at Charmouth (look up the Wobbly Fossiler) with James Carroll who was extremely knowledgeable and showed us what to look for. A wonderful experience to be recommended. Overall a fantastic week in Dorset I would recommend to everyone. ...

Stunning! The perfect holiday! We had an absolute great time at The Parlour over Christmas and New Year. We did not expect any Christmas decorations because we booked the cottage 3 days before our arrival and were so surprised about the tastefully decorated cottage including a Christmas tree (real one) and a very generous welcome pack. The cottage is really, really nice! The views from the Living room are wonderful and the room itself is very comfortable. The kitchen is PERFECTLY equipped, EVERYTHING! you need for cooking is there. My wife enjoyed a good nights sleep in her very comfy bed. Another great advantage of The Parlour is the location. We could walk to the coast. It was so great to order a pint at the Anchor Inn and then sit down at the cliff garden terrace and watch the big waves and see the people from the “Saunawagen” trying to cool down in the sea. We were part of a multi-generational occupancy over two properties. This worked very well, partly as it allowed the oldies to escape from the delightful mayhem of 3 young grandchildren. Lovely position, although Chideock would benefit from a road rerouting. Both properties are stocked with everything you might need (depending on what you think you might need!). ...
