The Parlour (2662) is next to The Linhay. Both are designed to be very private but can be linked together to create a larger cottage.
There are lovely details in The Linhay.
Another view of the sheltered patio-area.
The panoramic view across the valley from a local footpath. The Linhay is amongst the nearest group of buildings and Chideock village is to the right.

Beautiful location, cottage was immaculate and all our needs fully catered for

Lovely cottage for two or families as it has an adjoining door to the bigger house. Would definitely recommend.

Very classy and charming cottage.

Good location the small garden was nice to chill after a walk on the coast.

Excellent well equipped cottage. Set in beautiful setting within easy walking distance of 3 pubs - food good.

A lovely quiet retreat for a much-needed break away - much appreciated!

Wonderful cottage and location.Everything we hoped for including lovely weather.

Spacious 1-2 person accommodation. Tastefully furnished.

This property is well located to explore the area and is well equipped. There are several good pub/restaurants within easy reach, also Lyme Regis and Bridport/West Bay are all worth a visit. This was our second stay here and we'll be back for sure.

Delightful clean & cosy cottage in lovely surroundings with amazing views. Generous welcome pack was an added bonus. Thoroughly recommend

The cottage is quite large and spacious for a couple with furnishings that allowed freedom of movement. We met the owner on our arrival and she gave us a verbal insight to the area around and also checked that we had everything needed. That was a good start.

During the week we did spend a lot of time in the small pebbled courtyard by choice; it was to hot to go exploring all the time.

Its location meant it was very peaceful with rural Dorset all around and the mile walk to Seatown was not that tiring. At the same time the location meant it was very easy to access nearby towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis.

In all a lovely experience.

Very Comfortable !!!!!!

Great location for walking. Few issues on arrival which were promptly fixed. Comfortable well equipped little cottage.

The website works very well, is easy to navigate and booking is very efficient.

Great for walking and the George Inn very good for food and drink.

convenient for coast path walking, close to Bridport for everything you need. very quiet and peaceful. lots of interesting Dorset places within short driving distances.

Excellent cottage in brilliant location. It's well away from very busy a35 so no problem with traffic noise. Two good village pubs.. one only 15 minutes walk. Easy to get to Golden Cap and only 20 minutes walk from Seatown and beach. .

Lovely cosy cottage, very comfortable and well equipped, easy walking distance to beach, would definitely stay again

We had a lovely break at The Linhay. Efficient booking service with Classic Cottages and an email sent at beginning of our break to check everything was OK. Linhay is very close to the South West coastal path and the summer bus service caters very well for linear walks along the coast. Cottage very well equipped and nice to sit out at night with a view of Golden Cap from the courtyard. Welcome gifts a bonus!

The cottage is set in a location which is handy to Places. It was very well presented and had a lovely courtyard garden where you can see the golden cap and is a 10 minute walk to the beach with the anchor pub and the other way is minutes to the George pub and the village.

Lovely & clean. Well furnished & comfortable and you are close to so many lovely places to visit!

Perfect for a battery recharge, quiet beautiful walks and views stunning. Pubs just a mile away.

A small but comfortable cottage ideally located for travelling along the coastline. The property had everything that we needed for a short break away. Would definitely consider a return stay next year.

Excellent location, good pubs within walking distance with great gluten free options (The Anchor Inn at Seatown and The George Inn just up the road). Stunning coastal walks directly from the cottage. Owners were really helpful and good communication with them when we needed to with regards to Covid-19 restrictions. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks!

No hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Lovely cottage , very comfy , great views in a lovely location .

Comfortable bed and sofa.

Hot water readily available at all times.

Comprehensive range of cleaning supplies provided.

Convenient parking spot.

Welcome wine and chocolates a nice touch.

A lovely little cottage in a pleasant, quiet location.

The Linhay is a lovely, bright, airy cottage which is tastefully furnished in neutral colours. The lighting in the lounge is particularly good as you can adjust the level of lighting to suit reading or use dimmer lighting for TV watching etc. The outside seating area is tastefully decorated with pebbles and plants and is a good place to sit and enjoy a barbecue.

The location is ideal for those keen on walking as there are plenty of wonderful walks from the door. A footpath from the farm leads to the coast path and the beaches of Seatown and Eype. You will not be disappointed with the cottage but just be aware that there is no washing machine, so advisable to plan for this.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay in a spotlessly clean and welcoming cottage, beautiful location.

Our stay at The Linhay was everything that we hoped for. The location, the facilities provided and the owner's attention to detail all made for a brilliant week's holiday!

Well appointed accommodation in ideal location. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Linhay. Thanks for the hospitality, the fresh flowers, the chocolate, the bottle of wine and fresh backed cake( very nice). Very kind. There was fresh milk, sugar etc. Thank you so much.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. Would highly recommend

Lovely cottage perfect for a couple and nicely furnished. Whilst only a short distance off the main trunk road you entered a different world so peaceful and tranquil. Some excellent walks in the area our walk to the cafe at

We enjoyed our stay at the well designed cottage, and liked the decor. Being able to stroll to the beach and nearby pub was convenient and the location was good for visiting local attractions.

Very good, enjoyed our stay, great walks from the door. The George Inn was very good food and drink, only a short walk. Recommended.

I arrives and immediately felt warm, safe and welcome. Thank you. My only problem was walking to the beach as all the bridle paths were flooded but..............black plastic bags did the trick! I met with the owner, a delightful person and hope next time to meet with the fantastic Classic Cottages team. Jean

The Linhay is cosy and tastefully furnished. It’s location gave us excellent access to the South West Coast Path which was fantastic for our short break in this beautiful area. Flowers, wine and a lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a wonderful welcome treat!

Very well equipped for 2. Good location for coast walks.

Lovely accommodation. Ease of booking and getting keys. Equipped well. Easy walk to Seatown and Golden Cap so no need to move the car everyday. Lovely welcoming touches including wine, flowers and treats. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent cottage in excellent location. Welcome cake, wine and chocolates much appreciated.

A very comfortable and well equipped , very well located for the beach and coastal path walks

Always had very good holidays in all the places we have booked via Classic Cottages and all the staff are very helpful and knowledgable. Would not book with anyone else.

Ticks all the boxes..??

We were welcomed by the friendly owner who had not only provided basics milk tea coffee etc but also flowers chocolates bottle of wine and a lemon drizzle cake. Very kind and generous.

Good location for exploring the Dorset coast and away from the busy main road through Chideock, whilst accessible to pubs and useful farm shop. Practical for a winter break as the heating and hot water are very efficient.

The decor was charming: liked the co-ordinating towels; the kitchen was excellently equipped; it was cosy and ideal for a couple. We loved the welcome pack of wine, milk, flowers and a delicious cake: a really nice touch from the owner.

This is a fantastically well appointed cottage in an ideal, tranquil location near the sea. Great for walkers; right on the coastal path and no need for the car in the evening with two good pubs serving food within walking distance. The treats provided by the owners on arrival are the cherry on the cake. Highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in beautiful location. Plenty of scope for walking nearby and places to visit within 30 minutes by road.

The LINHAY is a lovely cottage and most ideally situated as a base to explore the Dorset coast. It is well within easy reach of two lovely Chideock pubs and, as we tavelled most days on local transport to enjoy the local sights, two bus stops. It is also an ideal place to start local walks and hikes.

An under-stated gem.

You can report exactly what I have said.

We would recommend it to anyone, particularly as a base for walking. Outstanding walks in every direction, and good pubs/restaurants within easy walking distance. Chideock is such an interesting village when you get to know it better. A fabulous area altogether.

A great little holiday bolt-hole for 2 and well placed for visiting the Jurassic Coast. Bus service very good and local eateries offer a good range of options. Fascinating local history which is highlighted in an information sheet at the cottage. The little Catholic Church is a gem and well worth finding as it has a local history exhibition which was a rare find. The star has to be the coast and we had wall to wall sunshine which helped us to enjoy it to the full.

Delightfully decorated. Everything you could possibly need for a holiday. Thankyou to the owner who provided all the goodies including the best lemon cake ever.

The cottage was decorated beautifully. It had a well equipped kitchen everything we needed to prepared a meal. Thank you for the welcome gifts lemon drizzle cake was delicious. This cottage is in a beautiful location 10mins easy walk to the beach and within easy drive to most dorset beauty spots. We enjoyed our view and walk up to gold cap. We hope to visit again next year

a clean and well furnished cottage in a good location to visit Dorset`s treasures.

The personal touches from the owners were wonderful.

Good location for walking the coast, well maintained cottage, with a very good welcoming pack. There were some adverse comments in the visitor book about the view through the window from this cottage (railway sleepers). Being a photographer I actually found them interesting and photogenic. We are only there for a brief moment in a lifetime.

Perfect location, lovely decor, well equipped, spacious, quiet, views of Golden Cap from patio. Walking distance 10 mins to sea and Anchor Inn, also to The George in Chideock village. This property is perfect for relaxation or a great base for walking or touring.

only 15 minutes walk from beach at Seatown (lots of fossils) Away from main road so quiet. Lovely welcome goodies. Thoroughly relaxing week at this lovely cottage.

A cosy, well equipped cottage, with lovely decor, in a super area. We would certainly recommend it.

Great location. We had a wonderful week in the very comfortable Linhay and enjoyed exploring the area. We enjoyed being in walking distance to the sea, Golden Cap and Chideock.

Perfect place to relax and recuperate. Everything you need for a week away.

perfect retreat for 2 , lot's to do in the area , plenty of pubs that serve good food . coastal walks , good beaches . plenty of attractions in area to visit .

The Linhay is a perfect base for seeing all that Dorset has to offer. It is clean, modern and has everything you will need. Ideal for a couple but even better to rent with The Parlour alongside if you are holidaying with friends. Would highly recommend it!

Excellent location to visit Dorset and beyond. Very good value for money.

This really is a very comfortable, clean, well equipped, bright and airy cottage! It is well situated to visit most of Dorset and East Devon. Very relaxing and peaceful!

Really enjoyed the Linhay and the area

We loved the cottage and the area, which was surrounded by the hills and sheep! It was great to be able to walk to the village and down to the sea without getting in the car. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and would like to return as there is so much to see and do along this coastline.

The George Inn at Chideock, a short walk away, was an excellent traditional pub with super food.

Very quiet country location but within easy reach of local amenities.

A very tasteful holiday cottage. Comfortable and an excellent base for seeing a beautiful coastline.

The Linhay is a real gem. Attention to detail was amazing. So well equipped and clean. The welcome of wine, chocolates, flowers, flapjacks and card was a wonderful touch. Would definitely recommend.

This cottage is in a great location whether you want to get out on foot or by bus or car. It also has a private area to sit and enjoy the sun in a morning of evening if the weather is good.

Having stayed in many holiday homes I can honestly say this is one of the best. So many little extras that made us feel welcome and comfortable. From tasty flapjacks, tea and milk in the well stocked kitchen to soap and hand lotion in the bright clean bathroom, fresh flowers, spotless bed linen, AMAZING. And set in a delightful location too.

A delightful cottage for two. Plenty of room and an easy base from which to go walking. A lovely spot for walking or relaxing. The cottage is welcoming and very comfortable. A real haven of warmth and peace even in January!

Lovely, well equipped cottage in an ideal location to explore the Jurassic coast.
