A return to the Old Barn after several years and it is just as fantastic as we remembered. The cottage is very well appointed - the owners have thought of everything that you might want in a rental cottage. The kitchen is very well appointed and it is a pleasure to cook in. A wonderful welcome pack including cream tea and wine - what more could you want! Beds are very comfortable, both the whirlpool bath and shower are great. Unfortunately we did not manage to use the hot tub or sauna - the days we were around it was a bit too drizzly to sit outside, but we know from out previous visit that the garden is lovely and sunny and very quiet. Location is very good - we play golf at Burnham & Berrow, which is 15 minutes away. Wedmore is a pretty village about 15 minutes away, and Wells and Glastonbury are about 30 minutes - both worth a visit. For any wildlife spotters, the Somerset Levels have lots of nature reserves and you can spend ages watching the birds - we particularly like Steart Marshes and Avalon Marches. There are also lots of walks and historic houses and gardens to visit. We have just booked our next trip to the Old Barn....

The cottage is beautiful, well equipped and the hosts were really lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There's lots to do in the area, despite being February and we found some great places to eat too. Thanks to the owners we had a truly lovely break and could have spent hours chatting to you, in your amazing barn.
