This is a very traditional stone cottage, in the heart of the village with the shop and pub within a few minutes' walk.
The elegant sitting-room has a wood-burner at each end.
The en suite for the main bedroom (Bedroom 1) is through the door in the far corner.
The garden is a lovely space for everyone to enjoy
With a choice of sitting areas in the garden you get to enjoy it at all times of the day
The utility-room and downstairs shower-room are through the door at the far end of the sitting-room.
Stairs lead from the open plan living-area to the bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor.
French windows lead from this room out to the patio and garden beyond. Parking is off-road here, just in front of this room.
Bedroom 1, the main bedroom, is beautifully furnished.
This is the en suite bathroom for the main bedroom.

Looking towards the village from the far side of the river Barle. A lovely place to just sit and relax.
Pack a picnic and go for an Exmoor walk from Landacre to Simonsbath. Magical moorland wherever you look and a good area to spot Exmoor ponies and red deer.
A stocky Exmoor stallion stands guard over his mare and foal. You could be lucky enough to spot this ancient breed from almost any point of Exmoor.
There are several thousand Red Deer on Exmoor - Britain's largest land mammal - but you've still got to keep your eyes peeled to find one!
Exmoor is magical, whatever the weather. A january frost on the road to Anstey ridge can be as beautiful as a sunny afternoon at Tarr Steps.

The riverside picnic-area is a short stroll from the cottage.

Very nice cottage and we enjoyed our stay, we didn’t use the sitting room as we felt the living area was fine and we felt it saved any problems with the dogs one of whom is only a puppy, we did have him in a crate at night!

We loved Withypool - fabulous location, great garden, excellent pub and shop/post office. Note that contrary to the details on the website the owners state in the property that dogs are not allowed in the lounge. In normal (not heatwave) conditions the cottage would be fine....

Just to clarify, the owner asks that any wet dogs remain in the kitchen area (tiled) until they are dry to avoid marking the sitting-room carpet.
