I’m not sure how I can write anything other than ‘perfect’ about Aveton. It’s the only cottage I’ve ever been to where you can truly just turn up with your suitcase. The kitchen has everything you could need in abundance, there are boxes of tissues in the bedrooms and the pillows are so comfortable you can just snooze for hours. This was our third visit and we’ll definitely be back. It’s so peaceful and if the weather is good there are some lovely walks locally or you can pop down to the coast, and if it’s raining there’s the pool, gym or games room to while away the day. There’s a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a gorgeous cake to greet you on arrival, there’s hand soap in every bathroom and the bedrooms are bright and spacious. On a clear night the stars are really bright as there’s no light pollution but it’s not far to go to the shops with a Spar in Loddiswell, some great farm shops nearby and Kingsbridge for the bigger supermarkets. Honestly just turn up, relax and enjoy....

Aveton cottage is amazing, wonderful and above and beyond anything you expect. To be practical…it’s spotlessly clean, the beds are super comfortable with exceptional bedding, the heating preformed perfectly even in minus temperatures and the shower and bath also perfect. The leisure facilities, that were surprisingly for our use only, would equal a well known top of the range leisure facility. We will of course be looking forward to the next time we can return to Aveton cottage or even farmhouse. ...
