We feel so privileged to be able to experience living in this magical hidden valley for a week. The house was cosy and had everything we could possibly need. The location is great for exploring the North coast beaches.

Amazing setting and lovely property. Very peaceful and would definitely return. Lots of nice little touches, the tea and scones on arrival and the wood for the fire.

The booking process was effortless. We had a lovely time in this idyllic retreat. The grounds and area are stunning, plenty to visit and to do. The cottage itself was a real gem, exceptionally equipped (especially the kitchen), large space inside and outside, comfortable to stay in, tastefully decorated and full of charm. The host was great and quick at resolving one issue we had on arrival. Would highly recommend and will consider coming back too!

This was our third time to Trewane Cottage and it was every bit as enjoyable as on the previous visits. The cottage is set in a stunning location, very peaceful yet close to all the main places you want to visit. The owners have refurbished the cottage to a very high standard with all the mod cons and luxurious bed linen and towels provided. Being presented on arrival with fresh milk, home made cake and apple juice from the estate was also a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. We will definitely return again!

Superb cottage lovely peaceful location and perfectly equipped. Would highly recommend a stay here. The hosts were accommodating and helpful when needed.

Fabulous Cottage to stay in! Beautiful quiet surroundings but close to all our favourite places - highly recommend. Look forward to returning next year!!! Great to have use of surrounding fields to walk the dog and lovely places to eat not too far away. One of the best we have been too thank you!!!

Amazing spot, lovely and quiet but in a perfect location for hitting the beach and the coastal path.

House is fantastic with plenty of space for our family of 6!

Trewane Cottage is a repeat favourite for us: great location, lovely comfortable and spacious cottage in a really lovely quiet location.

I have waited several years to book this property and was so glad to be able to stay for the best two weeks in North Cornwall in early summer. The location is excellent, very tranquil and relaxing. Philippa is a terrific host and works very hard to maintain the high standards we found at Trewane. Although all the properties were occupied during our stay, we were not disturbed beyond a friendly 'Good morning' with our neighbours. I would not hesitate to book again.

This is a stunning property in the most beautiful rural setting. A car is essential to travel to the coast but you could make use of the garden and not need to explore any further. The addition of a cake and apple juice on arrival were welcomed and we all loved the sound of the owls hooting. A lovely holiday in a beautiful part of the country

All three cottages on this site are set in absolutely stunning surroundings, the grounds were a pleasure to enjoy with something new to admire every time. A fairly unique bonus that Trewane has to offer. The cottage itself was every bit as special and picturesque as the cottage photos on the website suggest. The sofas and beds were extremely comfortable, so important for a relaxing holiday. The cottage was well equipped and the owners very friendly. Since returning home I have already recommended the cottages here to several people and reserved a return stay to Trewane next year so it’s fair to say we absolutely loved our holiday here and can’t wait to return.

This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Very near to all the North Cornish Coast has to offer but away from the crowds.

The property is set in the most wonderful setting. Very safe and peaceful, (apart from the owls!)

The only thing that lets it down is the comfort of the two sofas and the chair. They are very low and not at all comfortable. Also the toilet seat in the bathroom kept going of to one side! It's a real shame because everything else is lovely. I would still recomened the property as it is such a lovely house.

One more thing is that there are feather cushions and duvets and it did effect my Asthma a little.

I would have most definately given 5 stars if it wasn't for the things I have written.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review, and we're delighted to that you enjoyed your time at Trewane overall (despite the owls!). We really appreciate your feedback about the chairs and will pass this on to the owner. We're always very happy to find out if there are feather cushions in a property prior to booking if it's particularly important to a guest, please just give our sales team a call. Anyone looking for an extremely quiet and away from it all location, as we were, this is the place to book! Positioned in a small valley, approached down a track off of the lane, the first thing you come across is the beautiful old mill pond. Having the freedom to wander outside of the cottage was very nice. Philippa, the owner, made us extremely welcome and living in the large Manor House next door was available should we have any issues. Charlie, the housekeeper was also very helpful and left the cottage very clean and tidy. Our 2 dogs loved the area and the garden was dog proof, another point that from visits to other cottages has not always been the case. The cottage is very homely and comfortable, including the bed! An important point to ensure a good nights sleep after a day out in the Cornish fresh air. Upon arrival, to find a fully equipped kitchen including dish washer tablets, washing up liquid, soap, kitchen towel etc which from our experience from staying at many other properties is not usually the case. Also to have an adequate supply of toilet rolls we have not come across this before. These little extras were appreciated, however the nicest surprise was the cream tea including clotted cream and yes tea bags and milk were supplied! It’s touches like these that do not cost a fortune that simply make you feel welcome and after a long journey, that are appreciated so much more, thank you Philippa and Charlie.

The cottage was fantastic and in a beautiful peaceful location , perfect for exploring the North Coast and surrounding areas .

The cottage itself was clean well equipped and the cream tea on arrival was a nice treat. Phillips the owner came over to say hello and let us know she was around if needed.

I would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would stay here again.

We had the most wonderful stay here- would highly recommend. Just as in the description, lovely garden, v comfortable beds, beautifully furnished. A home from home in a beautiful location.

Beautiful cottage, in a beautiful location.

Lovely surroundings and beautiful from the outside with a lovely garden and BBQ area. Unfortunately the interior didn’t live up to expectations. There was paint peeling off the walls and lots of scuff marks. The living/dining area had mismatching furniture and quite smelly and unclean sofa, rug and cushions which meant we didn’t feel comfortable spending time in there. I understand the property is dog friendly but it shouldn’t be an excuse for not keeping the furniture clean. The bed we stayed in also had a stained headboard which was off putting. Overall, we felt it was a lot of money for somewhere which could be a lovely property but unfortunately was lacking care and attention on its interior that is needed in order to make it a nice and comfortable place to stay.

Spent more time in the garden and grounds this time as the dogs really loved the walks and we liked the seclusion.

Idyllic location. Peaceful and beautiful yet just 10-15 mins away from Port Isaac, Rock etc. Very well equipped and comfortable cottage. Beautiful kitchen with granite work surfaces & Everhot cooker. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in a holiday cottage. Waking up to birdsong only a total delight! Lovely linens. Welcoming owner. Just perfect. Hope to visit again very soon!

Such a lovely place!

A stunning cottage in a magical setting.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Trewane Cottage. A very well equipped cottage in an extremely peaceful area. The garden is fully enclosed and a great place to spot wildlife. The cottage is close to local attractions and close to our favourite beach at |Trebarwith Strand. We would love return.

Beautiful setting and location to explore North Cornwall

A comfortable cottage with good decor and well maintained.

If you have younger kids be aware the garden is not massive so the opportuity to run/play is not there.

Also the cottage is quite secluded and found down a bumpy lane about 300 yards long, with no real view of surrounding countryside. So if you want expansive views this may not be for you

Thanks for reviewing Trewane Cottage and it's great to hear you had a lovely holiday overall. The cottage is accessed down a country lane and looks out over a lovely stream-fed millpool and a beautiful south-facing garden as pictured on our website - such a tranquil scene. We do have many properties that offer large expansive gardens, many with countryside or seas views so please don't hesitate to get in touch if we can assist with any future bookings. Trewane Cottage is absolutely beautiful. It’s in a stunning quiet location and had everything we could need. It was perfect for our dog due to the enclosed garden. Would definitely return!

Awesome property. We loved the Everhot in the kitchen and the fireplace in the living room.

Beautiful place, very clean and spacious, quite and secluded, warm welcome on arrival and quick response to slight issue we had with bath tap. Well recommended

We would heartily recommend a stay at Trewane Cottage. It is set in the grounds of an ancient manor and farm, secluded and peaceful, and has everything needed for a restful stay. For people who enjoy cooking, the 'Everhot' stove is a joy - once you get used to slightly longer & hotter timings required - the recipe book is very helpful. There are beaches, farm shops and the best pasty shop for miles (Aunt Avices at St. Kew Highway) all within a short drive. We wouldn't hesitate to book Trewane again - it was a really good find. Thank you.

Lovely cottage, well equipped, superb location!!

A lovely property : suitable for all times of the year.Every bit as good - and more - as the pictures. Comfortable, well equipped and relaxed.

Beautiful setting, better than described. Central to everything, would recommend to anyone.

Lovely cottage in beautifully quiet location

Lovely cottage in an idyllic location. Peaceful and relaxing. Garden is properly enclosed and a great size for kids and dogs. Great all round property and close to so many beautiful beaches and exciting activities for the kids.

We have been staying in the Rock area two to three times a year for over twenty years. Trewane Cottage is far and away the finest we have ever booked. Our thanks to all involved.

Margaret and John

Home from home. Lovely relaxing location and really comfortable accommodation.

Well furnished and spotlessly clean cottage. We especially liked the welcoming cake and bottle of fizz to celebrate new year, which was a lovely thought. The setting was beautiful and it was so peaceful.

Beautiful cottage and location. Everything you would want really : lovely equipped kitchen, open fire , downstairs shower room and utility, good bedding and towels , great garden, the list goes on! Would like to return in the summer so we can make use of the garden. Wonderful night skies too!

Lovely, spacious detached cottage. Well maintained. Nice, well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and good quality bedding and towels. Pretty garden. Accessed through gates down a narrow track onto a private estate with the beautiful old manor house next door. Several other buildings dotted about but most hidden behind lots of trees. There is a mill pond and an orchard across the track from the house. Very peaceful. Feels quite isolated but still in good position from which to visit all of N. Cornwall.

We enjoyed our cliff-top walks between Polzeath and Tintagel. North Cornwall is lovely with its spectacular craggy coast, pretty villages and beautiful beaches. A few heart-stopping moments along the narrow roads with the high hedges - but a small price to pay to reach your destination.

A long drive down from the N. West, but well worth it.

We liked everything. We loved the beautiful house, the quietness, the view from any of its windows, and the surroundings. Well-tended garden with mature trees and pond. A lovely place to both relax and discover the numerous places you should not miss to see in Cornwall. Although it took a while to get there from Germany we would do it again and again..

You could make more of it's beautiful setting in your advert.
