May 2018

This is our 2nd holiday at Bolankan View (4th at the farm). The cottage is as comfortable and welcoming as our 1st stay and the cream tea and warm bread even more so! We never have a problem getting out and about (one reason we keep returning). From Newquay/Fistral to the St Just mines, or down to Helston, Praa Sands and Falmouth – they're all accessible. The addition of the bigger fridge freezer was great for us as we don't really eat out. We were particularly lucky with the weather and have returned home well rested.

We're already counting down the weeks to our holiday in September at the other cottage Bolankan Barn!

September 2017

friendly and helpful proprietor

April 2017

Fabulous location immaculate very modern appliances and very warm log fire and views were the icing on the cake ticked all the boxes

October 2016

Great standard of accommodation, very cosy and homely. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Quiet location but well situated to visit north and south coasts.

June 2016

Nicky and Gavin (and his mum) were really nice and friendly. The homemade bread was nice, but the scones were amazing (apparently made by Gavin's mum). Everything we could have wanted was all provided for us, even the fantastic weather. It was so quiet and peaceful, hardly any traffic and only a few horses went by. Watching the bats in the evening was nice too. Perfect position for both Cornish Coasts but without the crowds. Oh and nearly forgot we visited Trebah this time - amazing.

June 2015

The owners were very welcoming and had provided some thoughtful provisions for our arrival. The cottage is in a peaceful location with very few passing vehicles, yet close to many interesting destinations. We had a great week.

June 2015

Met by owner who gave us more details re heating etc. Also provided us with a very welcome cream tea ,fresh bread and milk and during the week fresh eggs!We felt very welcome and that nothing would be too much trouble. Congratulations to the owners for creating and maintaining such high quality accommodation .

May 2015

Wonderful place and perfectly situated to discover different parts of Cornwall. The owners are very friendly and we felt very much at home. Perfectly equipped and anything you could wish for was there. We had a lovely week at Bolankan View.

March 2015

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and the warm welcome from Gavin and Nicky, together with the super cream tea, made our holiday really special.

February 2015

What a delight this property is. Owners so welcoming. Central to most locations. A beautiful property in a really lovely little hamlet. Thank you so much for a relaxing stay.

December 2014

Gavin and Nicky were fabulous hosts - the property and situation are just sublime, the house is unfussy which adds to the relaxing quality. The views out of the windows of the surrounding countryside are wonderful. This is really a place to come and rest, even with small children. On that note - the children loved 'their' room. They said the beds were the comfiest ever and slept brilliantly. It is really dark which is a also a winner. Brilliant provision of simple clean toys (a farm, trainset and Dr Suess books) which the girls played with enthusiastically. All in all, perfect.

October 2014

A very special cottage with friendly owners nearby. We enjoyed every moment of our time here and will definitely return. Fully recommended.

August 2014

Exceptional and spotless!!

August 2014

We love the place - our fourth time and more likely be back again next year!

July 2014

Superb, well situated cottage for exploring St Ives to Sennen Cove and the Lizard peninsular together with the North coast up to Perranporth. Exceptional cleanliness (and we are particular) and one of the very best welcomes we have ever had - freshly baked bread, scones and a very genuine, warm welcome from the owners who live on site. Everything pretty much perfect - nothing to be unhappy about!

July 2014

We received such a warm welcome at this cottage, it was greatly appreciated after such a long journey. Excellent cottage with stunning views and a very convenient location.

May 2014

The owners are exceptionally friendly, helpful and considerate. It's a great place to stay in an excellent location, ideally situated between the North and South coasts. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely.

May 2014

A very cosy, comfortable cottage in a peaceful, secluded, location but still only a few minutes by car from main routes. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Delicious fresh eggs from the owners' chickens.

May 2014

This is a truly wonderful cottage, furnished to a very high standard. We had a fantastic holiday here and highly recommend it.

September 2013

Our stay at Bolankan View was wonderful. The owners gave us such a warm welcome and provided a few treats for our arrival which were greatly appreciated after our long journey from North Yorkshire. The property was spotlessly clean, well equipt and comfortable. With such a beautiful location we could not have asked for more. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends and family and hope to stay there again in the future.

June 2013

Please don't book. We want to stay and you'd make it more difficult to get the date we want. But if you really must... You won't be disappointed.

June 2013

A beautiful barn conversion, luxuriously equipped and set in a very peaceful and quiet location with lovely countryside views. We loved the memory foam double bed, so comfortable, and the two bathrooms were an added bonus. The log burner in the lounge was a treat for late in the evenings on cooler days and the kitchen was so well equipped I loved to cook in it. We found it to be very well located for our travels around the Penwith, Lizard and Roseland areas and great to go back 'home' to at the end of the day due to the peace and quiet of its setting. Perfect for a relaxing, stress free holiday.

May 2013

We have been booking holidays through Classic Cottages for over 10 years now and wouldn't book through anyone else. Booking on the website is very easy, the admin is always efficient and the standard of the cottages is first class. They are always well equipped, comfortable and very, very clean. Well done everyone.
