Bolankan View

We had a lovely stay at Bolankan View. Cottage is comfy and well equipped with particularly good induction hob and oven - a cut above many rental places - good beds and showers and great to have a wood burner if nights get chilly. Friendly helpful hosts - and it was delightful to meet the new puppy! As others have said, the home made bread and delicious scones were an extra treat. Peaceful surroundings, with bonus of the garden walk to the ( not as old as it looks! ) rather magical glade with stone circle. Perfect location for reaching St Ives or Porthleven areas as half way between them. We are used to being based at either West or South coasts, so a bit of a trek if fancy driving across between them, but the position of Bolankan meant we could get either way quickly. Really lovely cottage, very friendly owners who were very helpful. Lively and quiet and the property had everything you needed.

As a Mum, I have a few things on a wishlist for a holiday cottage and we've never quite been able to achieve all these things in one property, until we stayed at Bolkanan Vw! It was very clean, well decorated, maintained and good furniture/fixtures & fittings, Had two very powerful showers, Good washer & dryer, no overwhelming damp smell, plenty of easy parking, very well equipped kitchen, WiFi. Useable garden with linen line. We had a beautiful home made loaf on arrival and home made jam and scones (best I've ever had, even better than my Mum's!). If we were the type of people to rebook the same place every year, would absolutely rebook here, no questions! It is actually very good value for money compared to other cottages, it's just it's a lot of money for a staycation for a family but that is Cornwall for you! You could easily pay a lot more for a lot less! So in essence, really great property... Pretty faultless to be honest! Thank you!...

We had a fantastic week at Bolankan (two adults, two children plus dog). The cottage is just like the photos, very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We arrived to freshly baked home-made bread and scones which was a real treat. The beds were very comfortable, and thanks to the underfloor heating there was no mould in the bathrooms which is very rare in Cornwall! The kitchen very well-equipped and has the best oven and hob I have come across in a holiday cottage. The owners were friendly but not intrusive, and you could tell that they had put a lot of effort into ensuring a high standard of accommodation - even including age-appropriate toys and books for our children. I have been staying in Cornish holiday cottages for 20 years and this is one of the best - highly recommended....

This cottage is exactly as the description. It’s a well location to visit the different places of Cornwall. And the welcome is very friendly with a discreet but effective presence.
