Old Quay Cottage is in a lovely setting on the banks for the river Fowey and right in the town so it’s handy for groceries, the train station and access to places of interest including Heligan, Eden, Fowey, and Lanhydrock. The cottage was spacious, with modern facilities, lovely views, and is very comfortable. The underfloor heating was a treat. The village is unspoilt, and is full of history, the wonderful old bridge, and interesting buildings. There is a friendly feel to it as mass tourism hasn’t undermined its uniqueness. Perfect location for shops, restaurants, walks. Lovely views of the river from most rooms. Lots to do in area, e.g. Restormel Castle, Lanhydrock house. Parking was tricky to negotiate as warned, but manageable with care.
