The beaches along the Jurassic Coast have dog friendly areas all year round, and restrictions are then lifted after September.
There are many historical houses to visit nearby, such as Montacute House.
The iconic Jurassic Coastal landmark of Golden Cap from the beach at Seatown. ( where there is a fabulous pub ! ). Lyme Regis is in the distance

This was one of our best stays we ever had. And we had a lot. The owner were so friendly and we felt like coming home. The Pump House is on a very high standard, very cosy, quiet with wonderful relaxing views. Everything is very clean and thoughtfully chosen. We also liked the Farm Shop which is in easy reach, perfect for some fresh bread. All in all we highly recommend this beautiful retreat....

This is a lovely cottage, that has everything you need. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the garden is really enclosed – our dog loved it, and is was great that he could roam around without us worrying where he was. There was loads to see within a max 45 min. drive, like Montacute House and Barrington Court, and we even went to the beach. Can only recommend it! ...

We really enjoyed our week in Somerset. The Pump House was a really good base for exploring the area. We did several lovely walks from the village.
The home made cake went down a treat after a day out sight seeing.

If you are thinking of booking any form of break to The Pump House then stop thinking and book it. What a piece of treasure it really is. Nestled away in the wonderful part of Somerset with history and wildlife surrounding you. Tea and cake on arrival, classical music playing and the warmth of the fire was the setting for our week stay. We fell in love with the pet sheep who are the only neighbours in sight, especially Jenny and her cheeky ways. Everything you need is within the cottage which is finished to a high spec, the owners were very friendly and caring to every need but otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay. Our dog was in heaven with his own private wild meadow and miles of walking from the door step, we cannot wait to return!...
