We have been to Cornwall many times but not to the St Ives area as we thought it far too busy in August. This house, however, is in a quiet location with gorgeous garden, 5 mins to a lovely estuary walk and 15 minutes walk to an amazingly unused beach - with lifeguard - although be prepared for a good walk out to sea for a swim. (Note dogs on this beach which are usually off- lead). Porthminster beach only a few minutes on train for more accessible beach and amenities - or an hour’s coast path walk. We all - aged 3 to 70- loved the house and location....

We spent a lovely week here in January - the location in Lelant was a fabulous base and the coastal walk into St Ives a very nice one. The house was very pretty, big and sprawling with room for us all - a bit quirky and rustic with a lovely fire, comfy seating, great artworks and a homely feel. The garden was gorgeous to look at - but a bit cold to sit in in early January!...
