We very much enjoyed our time at the apartment and would book again. We actually booked three additional days to extend our stay. The garden is secluded peaceful and well kept. Wonderful to wake up to bird song and see the various birds about their daily routine. Appreciated having the swimming pool so close by. We all enjoyed it. Local residents welcoming and friendly as were other guests we met. The open plan lay out of the appartment was ideal for all generations of the family including our toddler grandson and the location offered easy access to Fowey and surroundings. ...

Our apartment was spacious, warm and comfortable. A bottle of Prosecco, milk and Cornish biscuits were available on arrival which made us feel welcome. The property was a bit darker than anticipated due to being a spacious basement apartment. The beds were comfortable, the mattresses soft. We enjoyed using the pool and sauna which we had all to ourselves every day. The apartment is a 15ish minute walk down hill into Fowey. We discovered you can take a bus back from the centre of Fowey (just outside the church) and this takes you to ‘the pretty bus stop’ which is only a couple of minutes walk away. We enjoyed our stay in the apartment, our only disappointment was that someone had left their dog poo on the lawn and we had to be careful to avoid it when playing around with our 7 year old son. ...

We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Fowey! The town bus is indeed a bonus - in fact guests can even request to be dropped back at the driveway to Carnethic House, where the property is situated (just check the timetable on the church noticeboard as the service varies out of season). We're sorry to hear that a dog had visited the communal grounds - the apartment itself is not available to pets, so we're sure that this is an isolated incident from a different property but were pleased that it didn't adversely affect your time in this lovely space. Carnethic House is a great location in walking distance of beaches and the town. It is quiet with a well maintained garden and the added bonus of a good sized swimming pool which we enjoyed.
