Spent a lovely week at Kinsale Cottage. Perfect cottage in a perfect location. Ideally placed for sightseeing and walks around the Lizard, we also spent a few days just relaxing by the sea in Cadgwith. The kids loved jumping off the rocks and snorkelling less than a minute's walk from the cottage. The dog loved it too! Sea shanties at the pub was the perfect ending to our stay. ...

We had a lovely stay at Kinsale cottage, which matched the old time feel of Cadgwith. A nostalgic holiday reminding us of those childhood holidays of the past.

Kinsale is a charmingly pretty cottage in a privileged location, just above the beach in Cadgwith. We loved the location and the village itself which despite its tininess is beautiful, vibrant and welcoming. We appreciated the comfortable beds, strong shower and modern, well equipped kitchen. There were only three of us so the two, two-seater sofas were sufficient for us to sit comfortably of an evening. The "spare" parking spaces are almost half a kilometre out of the village (up a steep hill) so it was lucky that we were just able to park our car (a medium sized SUV) in front of the cottage. We got used to squeezing around it to get out of the front door ! (the village car park is a gentler walk and only costs £3 a day). While the bedlinen and towels are new and spotless, the cottage itself, which to be fair is 300+ years old, is starting to look in need of some TLC. For anyone looking to work from Kinsale while on holiday, please note that there is no phone signal (understandably) and the wifi, while showing five bars, was unequal to internet calls and everything was very slow. The Fire Stick didn't work consistently because of the weak signal, so take some DVDs ! I would go again but would have found the above good to know. ...

Thank you for your delightful review full of useful information about Kinsale and the charming village of Cadgwith. It is in such a good position with fantastic views across the ocean. It has lots of original features including an inglenook fireplace and quaint little steps around the cottage. Parking can be difficult to find in such popular locations so thank you for your notes on the village car park which can be useful if the walk up the hill to the two parking spaces is too demanding. There is also a very useful parking space just outside the door! Kinsale is an astonishingly charming cottage with many unique aspects from it being an older property, such as the thatched roof, which does make maintenance a little challenging although the owner does keep it in good order. The connectivity can be intermittent in the village, and we can appreciate finding it frustrating if you are used to having a full coverage. There is a land line in the cottage for the use of guests to help when your phone provider doesn’t have coverage in this area. We would love to welcome you back. Sarah, Customer Support...
