Lovely location and well equipped property it says parking for 2 cars but its possible to squeeze 2 smaller cars and a third vehicle on. Property does need some TLC though hence my 3 stars on this occasion.

We found minor aspects of the description that do need updating which we have highlighted to the Agency.

Thank you so much for your review, it's handy to know that, with careful driving, 3 smaller cars can fit into the space provided. We're grateful for your feedback. The information was passed to the owners so that they could investigate futher and make improvements where necessary. It's that old adage, if we don't know we can't make things better, and we want to keep making things even better! Donna, Customer Support

We loved this house as it has a smashing view, is a lovely layout, well equipped for families and is easy walking distance Port Isaac and shortish drives to other great beaches in the area. We would definitely go back to this house again.

The house had a lovely comfortable feel too it. Everyone complimented the comfort of the beds / duvets. Kitchen was well equipped. Lots of games available which was a nice touch and enough wood for the fire to get us started. Beautiful views. We would book again. Lovely local pub is walkable distance however is down a steep slope (as is everything).

Great position and parking for two cars.

We had a wonderful week away with 10 family members, the weather was kind to us. The home is stunning but needs some maintenance updates. Parking can be frustrating. I felt like I was in an episode of Pride and Prejudice when lying in bed looking out of the first floor front bedroom! Some wonderful days out locally, Polzeith beach for surfing and bodyboarding, The stunning waterfalls at St Nectan and discovering the wonders of Tintagel, as well as a wonderfully bountiful mackerel fishing experience on the Optimus Prime under Captain Rodney!

We enjoyed our stay and the setting of Stroma. The parking is a bit tight if someone parks across the road so if that slot is empty I suggest parking in it. This will also stop anybody parking a high sided vehicle there and obscuring the view! Lovely to walk out to the headland across Port Gaverne or down to Port Isaac. Lots of eateries within walking distance.

The property lived up to its expectations. Location was brilliant overlooking the sea and within easy walking distance to Port Isaac.

Fabulous property in a wonderful location. We stayed for a birthday celebration and had a great time. Walks along the coast we’re fantastic and lots of great restaurants locally. Highly recommend

We are thrilled to read that you had a great time celebrating! We are sure that your review will help future guests of Stroma who needed some reassurance that the walks and restaurants are worth the visit. We so hope to welcome you back again in the future. Sarah, Customer Support

Lovely views but unfortunately the property was very disappointing. It seems to have suffered from a lack of maintenance which makes it feels rather tired and shabby, particularly the bedrooms and bathrooms. The steep stairs to the 1st and 2nd floors make it unsuitable for young children and the elderly.

Reply from Classic Cottages

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about the property. We do recognise that the stairs are quite steep, as is usual for a period property such as this, but we will see if we can emphasise this more in the description. The house is a more comfortable family home and we're sorry that you felt that it was showing some wear and tear. We have discussed your feedback with the owners, who are really grateful for your comments and the points that you raised will be investigated. Thanks again for letting us know. Very disappointing. In urgent need of some maintenance.

Reply from Classic Cottages

We're so sorry that you felt some areas needed attention. Being an older and very popular house, the owners do have an ongoing schedule of maintenance works and aim to attend to some of the inevitable little 'wear and tear' jobs as soon as possible as bookings allow. We'll definitely pass on your thoughts to them and check all areas at our regular inspections. Classic Cottages

This property is not suitable for the old or the young. The top floor has very steep steps making it inaccessible.

We're sorry that some members of the party found the second staircase difficult - we'll be in touch directly to chat through your thoughts. Tanya, Classic Cottages

We had a wonderful time at Stroma, the accommodation was perfect for our needs - the fun cupboard as we called it was an added bonus (games, books, dvds etc). Its location was perfect, being perched on the hillside between Port Isaac and Port Gaverrne, with exquisite views out to sea. We couldn;t have asked for more - Thank you Classic Cottages!

I would love to come back to this Cottage. It is ideally situated and the views are stunning. We didn't want to leave. Thank you Stroma for making my big birthday so very special. Until next time.

lived up to and exceeded our expectations, more spacious than we had expected, kitchen better equipped than most, great to have a tumble drier, heating nice and easy to handle

Lovely house , warm cozy atmosphere well equipped, and well cared for, beautiful location and views, had a lovely family holiday, would recommend

I would not say so many good things about this house, because then many other vacationers also want to rent the house. When I come to Cornwall, it is rented. So please keep yourselves all away from this great house.

Ideal location for exploring Port Isaac and surrounding area. Warm and welcoming house - ideal for a family holiday. Close access to local amenities

Excellent spacious accommodation with superb views of Port Gaverne. Well equipped and all facilities provided. Ample parking for two cars.

Stroma provided us with a comfortable and cosy home for our family holiday in a stunning location. The manager of the property Ayla was so helpful and efficient when we needed band towels.

Lovely, tasteful house with stunning views!

Outstanding views and probably one of the best locations in Port Isaac.

A large character house with a fantastic view and plenty of bedrooms. A good place for a multi generational family holiday.

Lovely house in a beautiful location. Ideal for large groups.

Stroma exceeded our expectations! One of the best family holidays we have ever had!

Wonderful location, fantastic views. The perfect house to share with friends!

Fabulous views and a great layout. The open plan downstairs allowed sea views from all areas downstairs. Lots of books and games really added to the welcoming ambiance as we felt we were at a family holiday home.

Fabulous break

This cottage has lots of potential and is in a beautiful setting, but there needs to be some investment by the owners in furnishing and equipment to bring it up to a reasonable standard.

Thanks for your review of Stroma - we were really sorry that you found some problems at the house. As you know from our visit during your stay and our conversations after, your concerns were acted on as soon as we possibly could, and the Owner was also very sorry for the disruption. We were happy that we could temporarily solve some of the issues by delivering additional heaters and the new freezer, and the Owner has now addressed the problems with a longer lasting solution. We hope that once the house had warmed up again, you enjoyed your New Year break - you were certainly in the most spectacular location for storm watching! Tanya, Customer Support UPDATE 24/9/2014 - A new range cooker has just been fitted

Excellent accommodation, really well equipped. We booked for an extra two days and staff were great helping with this, we spoke to the Owner too who was lovely.

Will use again and recommend to friends.
