Westcliff

Westcliff really is in a fabulous location, peaceful , great views and very easy access to the Coast Path . We didn’t find the private lane access a problem at all, certainly we have encountered much worse . The gateway into the drive is a tad on the tight side for larger vehicles We didn’t feel the need to move our car all week though as Mullion Village is easily accessible on foot via the main road or the coastal path and has both a Spar shop and Co-op. There are lovely walks of varying lengths in both directions on the path and easy access to Poldhu and Polurian beaches,. We felt the property had a certain charm , very much a “holiday vibe” , that would certainly draw us back again. There was plenty of space for the two of us . Three generations of our family enjoyed a week at Westcliff- parents, grandparents and 2 children (13 yr old boy & 11 yr old girl). The bungalow is clean, bright & spacious. The open plan living area suited our needs and we enjoyed evening meals sat around the large dining table. The kitchen was very well equipped for a self catering holiday. The owners provided lots of games, DVDs and books for guests to use. We appreciated the gorgeous views out of the patio doors. There is a large field to the back of the property so no buildings to obstruct that view. There is a well kept lawn and smart decking area complete with outdoor rocking chairs. It is brilliantly located next to the South West coastal path with lovely Poldhu Cove a short stroll away in one direction. Mullion Village (with its Co-op, Spar shop, fish & chips shop, café & pubs) is a 10 minute walk away and the other side of the path takes you to pretty Polurrian beach and Mullion Cove. We spent most of our time walking the Lizard and enjoyed taking in the views & sights at Lizard Point, Kynance Cove, Predannick, Poltesco and Cadgwith Cove. The Lizard is quiet and beautiful and circular walks are definitely the best way to soak in the views. We recommend lunch at the Old Cellars in Cadgwith - great seafood and Ploughman's lunches. We went to St Michael's Mount, visited Roskillys Ice Cream Farm, popped into the interesting Marconi Centre and the children loved going on a horse riding hack with Newton Equestrian Centre who cater for beginners through to experts- they rode right past the cottage! The nearby Mullion Chocolate Factory has a nice coffee shop offering good lunches, cakes & cream teas. There are a number of gift shops and we really enjoyed a glass decorating workshop at the Mullion Glass Studio there. Westcliff is perfectly located for a family holiday on the Lizard. ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westcliff. It is is a nicely appointed, comfortable, light and airy bungalow, situated in a very quiet location with gorgeous views. It is also very well situated for easy access to the coastal path, the town of Mullion and the beach at Poldhu Cove. We hardly used our car in the whole week we were there as the local bus service is also very good and the walking from the doorstep is fantastic. We always looked forward to returning at the end of the day, to curl up on the comfy sofas, gaze at the view and watch the sun go down. It is a very special place and we hope to return again in the future....

Fabulous cottage with gorgeous views and a relaxing location. Well equipped and comfortable.

Westcliff is a wonderful cottage in a peaceful, quiet lane with excellent access to Poldhu and Polurrian beaches. Walks from the property are stunning. The property itself is beautifully laid out and feels like home from home. We enjoyed it so much we almost didn't want to tell anyone about it so it was our secret! ...
