The farm is set in a gentle valley about a mile from the little town of Colyton.
Another newly created visitor attraction is the Seaton Wetlands - a peaceful nature reserve which attracts many species of birds.

You can visit the Seaton Wetlands any time but the bird hides are not open every day so do check.
The famous Seaton Tramway is a must! There is a station in Colyton and the route along the Axe Valley is beautiful.
Seaton has a pretty harbour as well as the long pebbled beach.
The coastal town of Seaton is just a few miles away. This is the brand new Jurassic Visitor Centre - a great place to visit with young children.

Wonderful location to visit different Dorset and Devon beaches. Short scenic drive to Seaton beach. Lovely views from the cottage. Slide in garden and games room were very popular. Toddler loved watching tractors on a busy weekend at the farm! Seaton tramway and Pecorama fun for kids. Stunning coastal walks at Golden Cap and Salcombe Hill near Sidmouth. Hive beach cafe was worth the drive. Masons Arms at Branscombe was a lovely lunch and can also recommend take away fish and chips on the beach at Beer. We were all sad to leave and could have explored more....

This is our 3rd visit to Stable Tallet. Its like home from home. Just can’t fault this lovely place. Its quiet peaceful and relaxing even though it on a working farm. A great place to unwind.

We had a lovely week stay in September 2020 as a family of 4 with a toddler and a baby. It was an idyllic setting, so peaceful and pretty. The house was well equipped, easy to find with our satnav and good location to get to nearby towns and beaches. If you would like a peaceful break, with a great outdoors hotub and easy access to places I would highly recommend. I wouldn't hesitate coming here again....

Lovely cottage in a lovely location, on a working farm but still very peaceful, added bonus of the games room and hot tub, lovely little lake to fish.
