Sitting in the Staffordshire countryside at the entrance to Tixall Estate, a unique and historic stay awaits at Bottle Lodge - named for its quirky octagonal shape that looks like a bottle from a distance! Dating back to 1807, this Grade II Listed hideaway has been lovingly restored into a wonderfully special stay - retaining its character and charm with luxury touches throughout.

Once you've finished admiring the exterior, step inside where the kitchen and living space welcome you with beautiful beams, rustic stone flooring, and oak craftsmanship. Here, you'll find everything you might need for simple holiday meals - a microwave, small fridge, kettle, toaster, induction hob and sink. Spend slow mornings perched at the bespoke breakfast-bar with a coffee and a croissant, and savour cosy evenings relaxing on the two seater sofa with your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Peek inside the ottoman for soft blankets, playing cards, and games for you to enjoy. You'll also find the loo downstairs.

When night calls, head up the winding staircase to the tranquil bedroom, which sits beneath a gorgeous domed ceiling. Here, there's a double bed with handy storage underneath, a spacious wardrobe, a shower with toiletries provided, and a beautiful stone basin. Make your way back downstairs to the rather lovely outside space with a private patio and spacious enclosed garden. A table and chairs overlook sprawling fields, inviting you to sit back and enjoy an al fresco lunch or evening tipple.

For an outdoor adventure, there's much to explore nearby. Head to National Trust's Shugborough Estate with its ancient woodland, parkland, walled garden, and Georgian mansion. Discover the forests, woodlands, rivers, and trails of the Cannock Chase National Landscape - perfect for walking or cycling - or go on a road trip to the Peak District National Park, with its wildly beautiful landscapes and picturesque market towns and villages. And once you've worked up an appetite, there are plenty of fantastic places to eat within easy reach of Bottle Lodge, including the Clifford Arms and the Canalside Farm Shop and Café, with its excellent choice of artisan bakery treats, deli, meats, and fresh fruit and vegetables.
