DoublePrimrose Cottage is the quintessential Dorset coastal property with its pretty village location and gorgeous, enclosed garden - it is packed with character. This semi-detached two bedroom cottage is perfect for couples, families and lovers of the Jurassic Coastline - and of course your four-legged friends.
The cottage is located within the pretty village of Walditch (about five minutes from Bridport) and will fill you with a cosy and homely feeling as soon as you walk in. The sitting-room is a lovely comfortable space with plenty of seating and a wonderful wood- burning stove for snug nights in. It leads straight into the traditional cottage kitchen which is well-equipped with everything you will need for whipping up some tasty treats. Off the kitchen and up a couple of steps you will find yourself in a wonderful sun-room/dining space with delightful garden views.
Heading upstairs you will find two bright and cosy double bedrooms full of original features. The rear bedroom has lovely views out over the stunning garden as does the family bathroom which is just across the landing and very spacious. The peace and quiet in the cottage is palpable and bodes well for some sound sleeps and long lie-ins.
Head outside and up the steps you will discover the tiered garden to be a real treat. Areas of lawn, a vegetable patch, curated landscaping and even a wonderful studio room - perfect for a spot of yoga perhaps, al fresco dining or just a comfy spot to while away the hours. The neighbouring property does have right of way across the garden but is rarely used.
The cottage really is a delight but if you do find yourself in the mood for exploring then you are perfectly positioned for some of the Jurassic Coast's most iconic locations. The bustling market town of Bridport is just a few minutes' drive away and slightly further afield you will find yourself in the fossil hunting hotspot of West Bay.
Travelling a little further you can discover coastal gems like Burton Bradstock, West Bexington and the famous Abbotsbury Swannery with its amazing sub-tropical gardens. To the west is the 'Pearl of Dorset', Lyme Regis, a 25 minute car journey away.
