This is a lovely town house in a quiet side street near the centre of Cockermouth; an attractive, bustling and unspoiled Cumbrian town. The coast is within easy reach as are Buttermere, Crummock Water and Ennerdale in the Lake District. The house itself is very comfortable, clean and well equipped for a great holiday. ...

The accommodation was lovely, very close to amenities, but far enough away to be quiet. Well cared for and maintained, comfy bed, good shower, and with parking for one reasonable-sized car diagonally across the pavement directly in front. The accommodation is on a 'no through road' for cars, but can be accessed via both ends by pedestrians; it is fairly steep on the pedestrian-only end, but there is a hand rail to help. The pedestrian only exit leads to a footbridge in to town and is quite close to a nearby supermarket, which is handy if you don't mind the climb back up with your shopping, but a longer, flatter route is still an option if you prefer not to drive. Overall we found the accommodation to be well positioned and very comfortable, and also dog friendly if required. ...

Excellently furnished and well maintained property. Furnishings very comfortable. Short stroll to centre of Cockermouth and conveniently located for exploring the western Lake District. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 11 Cocker Lane.

Cockermouth is a lovely place to stay - not too crowded and central to most places of interest. The cottage is lovely - tucked away down a little cul-de-sac - and within easy reach of all amenities. Inside is everything you need, including a little courtyard, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean with super Wi-fi. ...
